Itching to start a new project....

I must be strong... I must be strong... I MUST be strong... I am itching to start a new project right now! I don't know which one, as I have several all kitted up and ready to go... I have that craving to start something new. But, I can't! I don't want to risk having another of my projects fall into UFO or extended-UFO status! Help!!!!! I MUST BE STRONG!!! LOL! (Becky's magic mumbo jumbo spells in front of her computer screen are helping me - thanks Becky!!).
And, I did decide to stay strong tonight. I put some time in on Legends of the Dragons earlier tonight, since I did not work on it last night. I did some of the knotwork underneath Magic tonight... then moved on to my usual Friday night project later on...
And, of course, that is Convent's Herbal Garden... :-) (When I went to edit this photo in, Blogger Photos was down, so I had to use Photobucket.... sorry you can't enlarge it).

I got in the Tranquility opalescent belfast from Silkweaver, which I had hoped to use for Mermaids of the Deep Blue... but now I doubt I will use it for that design. It is GREEN! It is gorgeous, but is is GREEN. The scan on Silkweaver's site shows it as turquoise blue green... very much on the blue side (and yes, it was the linen scan I referred to when I ordered it - see my October 8th blog entry to see a pic of the scan they show). I was surprised, because Silkweaver generally does very well with their scans being quite close to the true colors. I could return this, but it sure is pretty fabric... so I will put it in my stash, and I will also still do a floss toss on it when it comes time to make my decision. Who knows, it may look great with the fibers! (I doubt it, though - there is a lot of chartreuse metallic in the design... too close to the fabric color of Tranquility!). And, I received the lugana solo I had ordered around that same time... it is a subtle moss green 32 ct lugana. And, my Porcelain Nosegay chart & embellishments also came in today :-)

Mike wanted to go to Best Buy after dinner tonight, and I picked up Fast Times at Ridgemont High from their DVD sale bin... that's one of the old high school movies we still lacked :-)

Waving fingers in front of screen..while chanting...Carol, you do not want to start a new project. You will finish a few more before long and can add a new one then....you wanna stitch on all your WIP's, no new projects...oooooooooooooooooooooo......fingers still fluttering on front of screen. You are a good girl, you can beat the urge....
sprinkling some kind of dust upon the screen to keep you from giving in to the urge.... making x's and fingers still moving around and still chanting.....

There, did that work ?? ;) LOL!

Hang in there, Carol :) :) :)

love ya!

YAY, it worked!!!!! LOL!
Legends looks great! I knew you would be strong, and you were :) GOOD for you! It paid off too!!!

Oooh, I love that green fabby-what are your thoughts for stitching on it now as it was not the color you had in mind for MOTB?? I can't wait to see what you decide :) :) :)

hugs to you :)

All of your stitching is coming along beautifully. After seeing your progress, I've decided a rotation really is the way to go ... so I'm finally biting the bullet and making one I can (hopefully) stick to. Looks like there's not much more of the dragons to go ... yippee, the end definitely is in sight - then you can throw something new into the mix. What will it be??

I was looking at some of the designs you are stitching...using the "currently stitching" picture links on the right.... Not all the links lead to the featured design. If I remember right, the last 2 designs lead to...was it called Mermaid Heaven(?)

Beautiful WIPS by the way!! :-)))))

You're right Carol, it is green! Not right for the piece you want to use it for. I'm sure you will find a use for it though. I'm itching to buy some of their fabric, but don't know where to begin - any suggestions?

Both pieces are coming along nicely, Carol :)

That fabric you got looks almost like the color of the Jubilation fabric for Dawn, would it work for that? It definitely looks blue in the scan from your Oct 8th entry. Has that ever happened before? What will be your next finish? Is it the dragons? Maybe you can put that in heavy rotation until it's done and then you'd have room for something new! ;)

Once again, you've posted wonderful projects! I love seeing your progress on Convent's Herbal Garden (one of my all-time favorites from Martina!). Good job staying strong!

I am glad that you hung in there and was strong. I am loving Dragons and watching it come to life :-)

I have been itching to start a new project, also. It must be that crisp fall air we are starting to have.

Legends is looking great!

Have a good weekend.

Everything's looking great, as always Carol! Sorry the fabbie came in looking green. That is very odd for Silkweaver. I'm sure you'll find something great to do with it. :)

BTW, where did you get your Porcelain Nosegay, please? I'd really like to get my hands on it, but thought it was already sold out.
