Ow.... my hand hurts!

Holding this tiny Q-Snap really kills my left hand. My hand and arm have been bothering me for a few days from stitching.... so I really didn't get much done on Wisdom tonight. My hand told me to quit a little early! But, here he is in all his partially stitched glory right now :-) I actually did do more than I thought I did... little bits here and there, plus the scroll - now that I look at it, I think I did OK, and am just trying to try to keep up with Nikki a little.

I just was high bidder for this piece of 28 ct hand dyed evenweave by a new ebay seller, and it is called Winter Sky. I figured I would give it a go. I hope it is as pretty as it looks! Her auction looked professional and she had a few others up that also looked very nice. I figure my chances are pretty good that this will be nice fabric when it comes in (although I just saw her shipping and am wondering why it is so high... argh).

Q. When you have almost finished a pattern and start thinking about the next one to stitch, how do you select it? (a list, most recent purchase, etc.)

A. I think this is a good question! I have had this one in my thoughts for a bit now... I have sooooo many projects on my lifetime stitching list, so how would I ever select the next one? It used to be the one that caught my fancy at the moment and/or I knew I had just the perfect fabric for, etc.... But in this past year, it is a whole different story.... Lately I get an idea in my head of what I want to stitch next.... then I don't because someone emails me and asks to do a SAL of something I like but had not planned to start any time too soon.... but then I say yes, and I start that project instead. So... I will use this question as an opportunity to assert that my next official new start will be Dawn, Fairy Spirit of Grace! When? I don't know. But I have decided not to get sidetracked by sparkly, pretty SAL offers by my pals until Dawn is solidly in my rotation :-) (This, Bea and Karen, does not count against our planned Rose of Sharon and Spring Ride SALs for next year - those I am happily committed to :-) )

I totally forgot last night when I did my blog (must have been my exhaustion... I did sleep just fine last night!!) that I had visited the sale over at Stitching Bits & Bobs again yesterday after I realized that Jingle Bells Christmas Tree Farm calls for additional white Silk Mori (in addition to the pricey embellishment pack that I already ordered)... so I found it was cheaper to order several individual skeins vs. Thea's white floss pack for this.... and I also got the beads for both Dawn, Fairy Spirit of Grace and Garden Beauty (and a spool of Kreinik #4 for this one too) while I was there - might as well!

I just love those dragons. :)

I've been thinking of the new Dawn Fairy for my next project, but I'm still a little ways away from being able to start it. It's so pretty!

Wisdom looks great! You'll be caught up next week for sure :) I have to say SAL's are great, I never would be so far with Legends if I wasn't stitching it with someone else!

Though I'm not a "dragon-and-fantasy-girl" I like your dragon very much!
I ordered my Gloriana at Stitching Bits and Bobs and they send it two weeks ago...I'm sure the german tax office opened the envelope and they take their time. ;-(
I realized as well that your bricks are a darker shade of brown than my are. But why use Gloriana AND NPI? The color key says NPI, doesn't it? Did I make a mistake????

Sorry to hear about your hands aching - I have the same problem, and find it really difficult holding anything in my hands now ... my saviour is a lap/floor stand, so I have both hands free, and only have to grip the needle. Your stitching is looking great - and I love the new fabbies you've ordered from Silkweaver, especially the mermaid one ... yummo! Look forward to seeing the floss toss!
