Really, Really, Really tried to catch up... but didn't

Well, here is my Garden Spot Sampler after several hours of work today... but no matter how hard I try, I cannot even come close to where my SAL mate is with hers. I wish I could. I think she really tore into hers while she was on a long vacation. I think I will beg again to be able to work on this an extra day this week... I am so woefully behind.

I received a lovely package from Isabelle today! She was growing quite concerned that it was taking so long to get to me from Paris... but finally, it did arrive today! Thank you so much Isabelle, as always you are a sweetie. She made me the cutest little garden themed patchwork, and sent me some lovely almond tea (she knows I love tea... she and I both do!)... and this pretty card for which she claims Violette posed. Awww... thanks so much Isabelle!

And... I got in the Shimmering Forest Sprite belfast from Sugar Maple Fabrics for Forest Goddess... I love it! Now, I know I can't fit this into my rotation right now.. but I sure wish I could! I also received a fat quarter of this pretty 40 ct linen from Silkweaver. It is a solo. I think it will look great with white silk for one of the marquoirs or a Long Dog Sampler that I have in my long to do pile!

Also, I got in the fibers from Stitching Bits & Bobs' monthly surprise pack - all silks this time... a skein of Caron Waterlilies in Almond, a card of Glissen Gloss Colorwash silk in 535, a skein of Needlepoint Inc silk in 701 and a skien of Dinky Dyes silk in Peach Melba... very pastel this month...

Though I'm sorry you've had computer woes, I'm glad that was all it was that was keeping you away!

Take care!

Carol, you sound very stressed :( You really aren't that far behind me and you are more than welcome to stitch on her another night, or I can have a week or two off as it's not like I don't have other projects to work on! It's not a race!
