Still going...

I put a few more hours into Mystery IX tonight. Martina has us stitching a lot with the Silken Perle Size 5, but says the clumpiness will be abated a bit after the project is ironed.... OK.... we'll see :-) Still not done, still going. I am not sure if I can get this finished tomorrow, it all depends on how our day goes.... There is a bit more ornamentation to go atop each of the chards in the corners, and then those blue objects on each side are said to be red cabbages (no red in them), and they look pretty quick to do. We'll see... I would love to be able to start Part 4 of Medieval Town Mandala on Monday.

Here is Mike and I at the Christmas celebration at my brother's house this afternoon. Odd angle - my SIL was sitting in a chair when she took it :-) I did get some other photos and may sort through them to share soon too.

My framed pieces did come back from the framer today - Celtic Band Sampler, The Marriage of Minds and Garden Bounty - but I was so busy with watching the two football games, and then also working on Mystery IX that I did not yet take photos of them. I will try to do that tomorrow. They came out great :-)
New England Patriots 28, Jacksonville Jaguars 3... a good start to the post season, so I am cautiously optimistic again this year (to be overconfident sure would be foolish) - loved the game! And loved the Redskins game - congrats to them and their fans too :-)

Red cabbages with no red? Hmmm. Your progress is wonderful so far. And I can't wait to see your beautiful, framed projects!

red cabbages and they're not red? Okay, I'm going to ask, how can red cabbages not be red? Anywho, mystery lX is coming along nicely. Can't wait to see the other pictures.

Hail to the Redskins!!!!! Great excitement at our place yesterday as we threw an impromtu football party. We're going to have to do it next week too so as not to jinx the Redskins. Congrats to NE too :)

I like your Mystery piece and the colors used. I was rooting for the jaguars but didn't watch the game.

Hi Carol! You are coming right along with your mystery project. Thank you for your kind comments about the Redskins. I too was stitching during the game. I wanted to watch the Pats game but my son insisted on Nick and Animal Planet! I guess 6 hours + of football was too much for him;) Anywhoo we are holding our breath for the Seahawks game. The Redskins have come so far (people around here wear Saint Joe shirts, Joe Gibbs is God (no offense to religious folks- but he is a miracle worker!) and I even saw a guy wear "I Want to marry Joe Gibbs." t-shirt lol). We did beat the Seahawks earlier this year so who knows! Happy stitching!

Looks great Carol. The "red cabbages" on the sides are pretty quick, so you should be done in no time!!

Wow, there looks to be a lot to Part 1 of Mystery IX. At the speed you stitch, there must REALLY be a lot! It looks great, though! :)
