Back to Houses of Hawk Run Hollow - at last!

But... I am not liking this square (House 4) at all.... I don't think Vikki's conversion is very well done for this house.... it looks all blotchy, which doesn't help with this house that has a weird enough lawn already. Nope, I don't like it. The two shades of green on the front steps and the windows are so similar that you can barely distinguish them. Yucky - we are going for the blotchy, splotchy look here! Yikes!!

Now on to Mermaids of the Deep Blue tomorrow, then the Garden Spot Sampler SAL on Tuesday.... and back to Chatelaine passwords again!

If you don't like it, wouldn't you be tempted to change the colours to something that suits your taste better? Ann.

Hi Carol, I see what you mean re. the colours. I like weird colours, but if you don't like them, why don't you consider changing them? The same thing happened to my 'Enduring Friendship' on my RR. I had to change the colours of the house a couple of times before I was really satisfied. I still think this project looks great, though!

I can see what you mean about the colours, why not try changing them to colours that you would like.

It looks fantastic so far looking forward to your Mermaids of the Deep tomorrow.

Hugs xxxxxx

I do love all the soft colors in that piece, but I see what you're talking about with the current square. Perhaps that in the grand picture they will blend in? I can't wait to see your Mermaids again, seems like it's been forever since they were out :)

The colours do look a bit weird. Maybe you could try changing them if you're still unhappy.

that is a weird lawn. I agree with the others and maybe change colors if you can.

I see what you mean and I would say get them out and replace them with the colors you like for it.

Carol hopefully it'll look better as you go along!

Sorry you're so disappointed in the conversion on this house. Of course, you can change it, but know what a pain it is to rip out all those stitches. No advice here, just commiseration, lol!

I can see what you mean about the lawn. Sorta looks like what little kids might colour. If you really dislike the colour so much why not change it? Or are you going to go for stated threads?

Those colors are a bit off. If I didn't know what it was supposed to be in the end, I would have thought it was a lighthouse on the beach:)
