Well, at least it is a start...

While I know my focus today should be on getting that fourth corner of MTM started, I just needed a little break after yesterday's extreme marathon session to finish the third corner. I needed a skein of DMC 3013 for my RR block, so Mike and I went out in search of the floss. It took a couple of tries to find a store that had that color in stock, and we ended up at the dreaded Michael's... they had it, and since they have a floss sale right now, I only paid 16 cents for it.... so.... I came home and stitched for a little bit on my RR.... that is how this will get done on time, doing it little by little. Now I have to put it down and pick up MTM... at least 24 is on tonight, that will keep me perked up!

I didn't get a whole lot of the fourth corner done tonight... but at least it is a start, right? I get a break tomorrow due to a SAL commitment, but then I will be right back at this!

Von, welcome back from your camping trip - this isn't the end of this project though - this is the end of Part 5 of, gulp, 12 parts LOL! I should be finishing it, if I can still stay on track, around the end of September....

Leslie, Gardener's Cottage is a leaflet by Elizabeth's Designs...

Vash, in answer to your kitty/monitor question - yes, Lily is a small cat (about to turn four in June - she is a dilute calico persian) and Mike's monitor is a big monitor :-) It does dwarf her a bit!

Stitched on today: Gardener's Cottage and Medieval Town Mandala

great start. You know I love NASCAR as much as you do. I am not a Jimmie Johnson fan but I don't dislike him either. I really don't think anything was wrong wth his car. I think they are going after him because there was a problem earlier in the week and they penalized his crew chief. Also this media is getting way out of hand as well. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Good progress on both today, Carol. I can only imagine your need for a break from MTM now and then. At least you can see the light at the end of the tunnel!! Hopefully the RR will continue to give you something fun to stitch on when you need a break:)

Carol, I'm loving MTM, but of all simple things, I'm just eating up the "neighborhood" idea for you girls's RR. I'm just adoring your Gardener's Cottage so far on that yummy Lakeside fabbie, but for the life of me, I can't find it on Silkweaver's site! :( It's sooooo beautiful!

Carol; Your work is beautiful as usual! I love both designs. I have a probably dumb question about your RR. Is everyone stitching a home on everyone else's RR or is everyone's RR a different theme? I have never participated in a RR and I was just wondering. If it is the same theme are you going to stitch the same design on each one? It would be cool if everyone had the same design at the end of the RR but would you get tired stitching the same thing multiple times? Everyone probably knows the answer to this but me! :0) Robin
P.S. Please cheer for Kimmi tonight as she skates for the Gold! She's from my town!

Glad to see you were able to at least make a start on that final corner of MTM. There is so much detail in each corner, it's unreal! Beautiful design, but a lot of work for one part. :)

MTM is just stunning! I *heart* the turqouise (I hope I am spelling this right, sorry if it isn't, since English is not my Mother Language) in the corners!

And a very nice start you got there! Can't wait to see more :D

Oh, there is a cat in the picture! And I had already wondered why you would publish a picture of your computer... How cute!
I'm looking forward to seeing your RR pictures. It sounds like a wonderful project.
