Typical Tuesday Night of Stitching

Very, very typical Tuesday night - I put in three hours on the Garden Spot Sampler SAL, and as is typical, stitched two motifs... This is starting to feel like it is going slowly, but I figure we are actually making good progress overall...
As you can tell.... the sofa was a bit crowded tonight!! The cats displaced me to the recliner to stitch (well, OK, that is usually where I go to stitch... my Ott-Lite is there LOL!!) and Mike to his computer desk for much of the evening! I guess we know who really runs this house!

And, of course, it is yet again New DVD Release Tuesday - fun ones today that I have been waiting for: Derailed and Chicken Little.

Sad to see Adam Vinatieri also leave the Patriots today... but truth be told, I am getting jaded and all too used to seeing Boston sports stars leave the city.... sigh...

I am also a little disappointed with ebay... I put up several really nice hand dyed fabrics that I still love and paid a lot of money for, but hey, I have many, so I put them up for auction... and got really lousy bids on them. What's up with that? Some folks just got some really amazing deals on great stuff, and I lost big $$$$. I have to really rethink selling my good stuff on ebay now.

OK...now I am not known to be negative, so I will end with fantastic news! My Neighborhood RR arrived safely at Annemarie's house in Holland today! Excellent! What a relief!

Stitched on today: Bordeaux Mystery Sampler at work, and Garden Spot Sampler

Hey Carol,
Lovely work on the sampler!!
As for selling stuff, I do it through my blog most of the time and just set a price and take money through paypal. I have some knitting stuff up for sale right now. Actually I've been selling for a few weeks and have just put most of the leftover stuff on Ebay. I've made a lot of my money back :) and have been able to buy tons of stitching stuff. Anyways, just a thought :) I know I would be interested in buying something off of you! and at a fair price ... okay ... I'll stop blabbing now :)
Have a wonderful day tomorrow!

Garden Spot Sampler is looking beautiful!
And I love that pic of your kitties. You're so right, they rule the house don't they! The trouble is when Violette assertively claims my desk chair - I'm like, hey sweetie, I've gotta work you know, or we'll run out of cat food! ;D

Your cats are so funny!

Sorry to hear about your eBay dissappointment. That is actually the reason I stopped selling on eBay - I figured if I was "giving it away" I'd rather give it to friends. You could set BIN prices and see how that goes...

Carol, this sampler is looking lovely.

Sorry to hear about EBAY. A big disappointment.

What's this I see, 3 cats on the lounge and not a quilt in sight. The weather must be getting warmer. LOL.

You may not see the progress you're making on the Garden Spot Sampler, but I sure can! Wonderful work, as always. I'm also really relieved that your RR has arrived safely. I wish I had time to start though!

It is a little disheartening to be working on a project and it begins to feel like work rather than something fun and relaxing. But the MTM looks really fabulous and you will be so proud of yourself when you complete it!

Sorry to hear about your ebay experience, i have yet to try selling anything on there but we were planning on it, it does worry me a bit though.

I think garden spot sampler looks wonderful!

Your cats look so cute on that sofa! Thomas used to try and take my spot on the one sofa(under my lamp) until we bought him a fleecy blanket and put it on the other sofa. Now he has his own special place and we're both happy!

Sorry you had disappointments with Ebay - I find it can be a bit hit and miss. Sometimes I make way more than expected and sometimes I barely break even (after fees and such).

Hey Carol, wow Garden Spot looks fantastic.

Sorry to hear about your disappointment with ebay hun, it can be tough.

I sold stuff through e-bay and found some of the items went for hardly anything and others went well.

Hugs xxxxx

Garden Spot looks wonderful. I really love the colors and you are probably making better progress than it may seem. I often feel the same way with my pieces until Allen or another blogger reminds me of what I have accomplished.

Cute kitties...it is funny that they each have their own section of the couch:)

Garden Spot is coming along, but it's a big project! Your kitties look sweet sleeping on the couch. My cat is welcome to the couch downstairs and almost anywhere else in the house - but not my living room furniture! It's all fairly new and I want it to look good for awhile. I even grouch at my dh - no snacks, lol!

Carol I can see your progress!

Sorry to hear you got ripped off by some e-bay auctions. You should try selling them on some of the stitching BB's or put them up here and ask us to e-mail you if interested.
