Mermaid Heaven

This was a nice treat today. I really enjoyed working on Mermaid Heaven again. I just noticed as I was uploading this photo that my WIP photo file indicates that I have not stitched on this one since February 4th! Shame on me! I am hoping to put more emphasis on it now, as I see it is really quite far along and could easily be my next finish. I just love the colors in this one! I started this as a SAL with Jenn several months ago, and I am wondering if she would be interested in getting back into this one again now too...
I stumbled across some more stash that I had gotten in recently. It was stashed away by my stitching chair and not on my desk with the rest of the items I posted yesterday: a couple of new UK stitching magazines, Drawn Thread's new Wayward Garden, With My Needle's An Emblem of Love, and a fat quarter of this gorgeous new belfast from Silkweaver called Enchantment. I know of one blogger who plans to stitch Mirabilia's Fairy Moon on this stunning fabric - that sounds like a great idea! I haven't decided yet what to stitch on mine....

And, I was RAK'd today!! I just received Victoria Sampler's Heirloom Memories chart in the mail from Carol! We have been having a nice email relationship for a few weeks now, and she saw this chart in my wish list file... and had it sent to me via an ebay seller. Thanks Carol, how sweet! I have wanted to stitch this one in memory of my dad who passed suddenly in December of 1995...

Time for a new word cloud - I like this one

Stitched on today: Papillon Creations Mystery Sampler (in the car while running an errand with Mike down in Foxboro, Massachusetts - right by Gillette Stadium, home of the NE Patriots) and Mermaid Heaven

Hi Carol,

Well I am feeling a little better after a couple of days in bed. It's nice to catch up on your stitching. What a great lot of stash you have!!!!

Woohoo, the Mermaids are back!!! I just LOVE that WIP :D It definitely looks as though you don't have too much more to do on them :) And what a wonderful RAK for you - way to go!! :D Thanks heaps for the DMC equivalent for Bordeaux ... am starting to wonder about succumbing to the silks - will decide in a couple of weeks time ... then I'll have to catch you up - though with you speedy needles, I might just be trundling along in your stitching wake ;P haha. Still have to sort out fabric, so there's no hurry for me yet :) BTW, did I say ... "yay, the Mermaids are back!" LOL :D

You are so much further on with your Mermaids than I am with mine, you are giving me the inspiration to pick it back up again and stitch, love your stash haul tooand what a lovey RAK you received.

Hi Carol,
Your work is incredibly motivating! I just wanted to let you know I tracked down a copy of the Fine Lines issue with Women of the Mayflower. I 'm letting you know the floss colors called for are no longer available. My sister got the ladies at ABCedarius in Marietta(they work with a number of designers and Mill Hill on bead/embellishment selections) to work with her on the colors and I'll be happy to send you the color list once I get the kit in the mail. If you are so inlcined of course.
Keep up the stunning work-it really is very motivating to read your blog.

More Stash!! Woot!!
MH is a very sweet design, and so close to being finished! Glad it found its way out of the pile, lol!
Heirloom Memories makes such a lovely tribute to a loved one. I have in mind to stitch it in memory of my DM and DMIL.

Mermaid Heaven is just so gorgeous! I'm glad that you're picking it up again, as I have missed their sweet faces. :)

The Victoria Sampler Heirloom Memories Sampler is a really nice design. I've been stitching it on and off for more than 18 months and it will now be in memory of Terry's mom.
