Thanks for the motivation!

I really want to thank those of you who left me comments or sent me emails to encourage me to work through the boredom of MTM! I really appreciate them. I am a true rotation stitcher, so having to stick with one big piece for so long in a string of days is not fun to me.... I know it works for others, but not so much for me. I am starving to work again on Little Wings, Convent's Herbal Garden, Christmas Spirit, 17th C. Irish Garden, Mermaids of the Deep Blue, Mermaid Heaven.... sigh, soon enough, I guess. In the meantime, I finished most of the cross stitching on Part 8 tonight. I do have a few more black windows to do, then some specialty stitches, and then the backstitching. But, for now, this is being put away until Wednesday :-)

We awoke this morning to realize that the bear (it simply must be a bear now!) visited us again last night. The birdfeeder was again down and severely bent (this is wrought iron and requires some serious strength to bend), and one of the food tubes was dragged into the woods. The PVC pipe that extends out of the side of our house from the sump pump was also destroyed. He/she must have thought this was also a food tube. Additionally, the butterfly house my FIL made for me was torn down, and the tulips were trampled by our gas tank. My guess is that the animal even suspected that the top of our gas tank was a food vessel. Quite amazing! I sent a message to my neighborhood's Yahoo group, and one neighbor has had their garbage torn apart and dragged into the woods.... likely by the same culprit! I am so glad my cats are not outdoor pets!

I'm glad your cats aren't outdoor ones too! Though I suppose they'd probably flee from a bear very quickly! :)

MTM still looks wonderful. The outside border will hopefully be more fun and faster - something to look forward too :)

Hi Carol, oh thats a bit scary, to be visited by a bear!
I got your email too,so that part is working ok, and then I replied to it but guess what, my email came back straight away saying it was undeliverable because the return address was refused. any ideas?

Would love to see a photo of your visitor, if you are ever able to snap one. Glad your cats are of the indoor variety :-)

Oh my! Scary! Yep, it's a good thing your cats are indoor cats!

You did some great progress on MTM. :)

Have you contacted the wildlife service in your area? That's just not normal behavior for a bear and it should be monitored or even relocated. We lived around bears for years and NEVER had anything like that.

MTM is looking great. Go, go, go!! :-)

MTM is looking great, you're almost there on this part.

Wow, I'd be stunned to have a visitor like that, I'd definitely check with your local wildlife service about it.

A BEAR!!!! Wow, you ceratinly do have different wildlife to us. Bren wants to know why you didn't show him a bear when we visited. LOL. Seriously though, is there some kind of park ranger or someone you can call to see if anything can be done? It's really scary. Be careful.

Oh my ... a bear! We deal with other wild things - small fox, coyote, deer, racoon, & oppossum. But a bear? Oh my. Our outdoor 'stray' cat even comes into the garage at night. Guess she knows a good thing.
