HOHRH House 4 Finished :-)

This is a bit of a mini finish for me - some of you know this, but it has taken me just about forever to stitch this one house block - but today I got it done! And yes, I do like the color scheme better now than I did when I first started it. All that mish-mash down by the lawn still looks strange, but the house makes up for it - LOL!

To those who asked yesterday, yes, this is a Vicki Clayton conversion - one of her earlier conversions. I've received a lot of requests for this color conversion, so I created a blog for it and it is linked in my sidebar for you. That way you can grab it when you want it, and I don't have to keep retyping that long list for everyone :-) Vicki will package it up for you if you send her the list.

Instead of starting House 3, I decided to put a little time in on Women of the Mayflower for a couple of hours tonight :-) I just love this sampler. I wish some of the colors were as intense as they appear on the model, but that is the way it goes with hand dyed fibers. I had to special order the fibers as they are not sold locally, so they came in sight unseen. I don't really feel inclined to make changes. I can live with it. I ran out of time though - will have to finish filling in the "1620" box next time!

It looks lovely Carol. I think it all works well together now the house is complete.

Very pretty, and congratulations on finishing part nine of MTM. You may have "complained" a bit but it is a gorgeous piece.

Also congratulations on the 2nd place finish by Mr Newman, see I told you he would see better days. I'm a bit disappointed though, I was so hoping Terry would win instead of "him".

Congrats, Carol! Your mini finish and the sampler are both lovely. I just love them! I pulled out my HOHRH yesterday and I'm going to work on it during the next days.
Thanks for sharing, you make me motivated to go on...

I agree on the colors for WOTM, Carol. Occasionally I'll get a little adventurous and change a color but not often.
HORH looks really nice in that color group. A lot of people are doing this project and they all look fabulous but it's nice to see it in a differnt twist as well. Makes reading blogs all that more interesting to see everyone's talents.

Ooooh... I just had another look at your wishlist blog, and I realize you wish for 32-count or higher fabrics... So I'm afraid a 28-count lugana wouldn't make you happy, would it? Dammit! :(

The house looks great now it's done. The lawn did look a bit odd at first, but I really like the colours with the house :)

And how did I miss yesterday's post! Hooray! You finished those buildings on MTM!!! Big congratulations! The rest will be so easy compared to those :)

Yes, the lawn is quite interesting, but the colors somehow go together now that the block is complete.
