About half way....

I am limping along still with MTM.... I only have about four hours a night (on work nights) to stitch... worked on the bottom right corner. But I found out today that I am seriously bringing up the rear (already!!) with Part 10... well, I can't exactly quit my job or give up on household responsibilities, now can I?? Anyhow... here is what I managed to get done... (I know I am behind because I stitch other projects at the same time, though... I do realize that...)

Q. What is the biggest mishap you have had with your stitching material
(i.e. spillages)?

A. I have had the same problem happen to me twice... it is so disheartening that even answering this question makes me sad and a little queasy... I started too far down on my linen on both The Mighty Oak and Alpine Garden, both by The Drawn Thread, and I ran out of fabric near the bottom and could not finish either of them. I have to restart both of them. This happened years ago, and I have yet to restart either of them... silly me, in both cases I stitched a lot before I came to the full realization that I was not going to be able to finish them....sigh...Rumor has it from my friends that I am certainly not the only person to have had this happen, but it is my biggest mishap...

Oh, and New DVD Release Tuesday pushed off til today due to the holiday: The Libertine (gotta add that Johnny Depp to the collection!) and I had forgotten I got a DVD in the dump bin last week: Mazes and Monsters (worth a try with Tom Hanks in it...)

Karen is waiting for me on MSN Messenger, so I am going to zip over there now...

Stitched on today: Bordeaux Mystery Sampler (Anne and I decided to put pics up of our progress at the end of each week now... I work on it at work, she does it at home when she can.... I will try to remember to bring it home on Fridays to photograph) and Medieval Town Mandala

Oh no, that would be the most heartbreaking thing to happen, especially after stitching so much of it! MTM is looking great - and I absolutely adore your latest chart acquisition ... I was watching that get stitched on another blog, and thought it was gorgeous :) Love those bears!

Oh no Carol. That is a heartbreaking thing to happen. I had a customer come in the other day to ask my advice. She had a tiny section of Chatelaine's Watergarden left to go and she went to answer the door. When she got back she found her cigarette had rolled onto her work and burned a huge hole in it. I honestly didn't know what to say.

MTM is stunning as always!!

Carol, you are not behind with MTM at all. I have been home these last 3 days, so I really had lots of hours to stitch, because it was just to hot to fo something else. If you look on ezboard, than you see there are only 5 *counted you with that) that are on shedule with it, the others lost interest with the big turquoise corners or with the houses.

Crikey, I remember how much time I used to spend on MSN chatting to Fraze when I was living in NZ - we'd sit there for hours ... literally ... at a time - not much stitching done back then LOL. That reminds me, I should check my Hotmail account and reactivate it - I keep forgetting about it, as I don't use it - thanks for the inadvertent reminder ;)

You may feel like you're lagging, but your progress looks amazing to me!

And I will always give up household chores in favor of stitching. As my MIL will attest to....

MTM is looking fabulous! As someone who now has the kit but has left it unstarted I believe I am the one who wears the "waaay behind crown".

MTM is looking great! I love that turquoise! Your little bear chart is so cute. We bought Libertine as well, and The Matador. Who knows when we'll get around to watching them...we just watched UltraViolet, which was disappointing. Wish I could SAL with you on Bordeaux, but I don't have the fabric for it. Can't wait to see your progress!

MTM looks terrific! I really like this piece.

I think we've all had a miscount. I had a similar one to yours, but fortunately, had a piece of fabric that was too long to begin with. My biggetst stitching mishap involved a wedding piece (lots of white) and a load of red laundry.

If you are behind on MTM then those other people must have motorised needles! LOL ... it is looking fantastic. Sorry I haven't commented in a while - I'm on a mission to be more attentive and put more into my blogging world :)

and what an awful thing to happen with your stitching ... especially on a precious Drawn Thread!

I love how your MTM is turning out. It isn't something I would stitch but I am really enjoying your progression.

I think that I would be a little heartsick as well if I ran out of room...my #1 fear since I don't always start in the middle.

That must be disheartening to run out of fabric. I was panicking when I was getting near the bottom of the border for Celtic Banner it was close but I had enough! Could you just frame the pieces as they are or are they too incomplete?
