Stitching through the boredom...

If you have not caught on already, I am so terribly bored with MTM :-( But, I keep stitching onward. I am half done with Part 10 now, and made a start on a third corner tonight... I will just keep at it until I can breathe my sigh of relief and put it away until August... then I have to pick up Mystery IX and put a couple of nights in on that anyhow... but Mermaids of the Deep Blue, Mermaid Heaven, HOHRH, Angel of Love, Little Wings, Women of the Mayflower, Harvest Moon, A Christmas Spirit.. they are all calling to me so loudly right now... sigh... I must say that I truly appreciate the kind words and encouragement to keep at it with MTM... without all this support, maybe this would not be as far along as it is - thank you, my dear friends, for that - I hope you keep it up :-)

I do have one keen observation about MTM... one thing is for sure - if I had to do this over again, I would not have opted to stitch on white belfast. It is very stressful to handle this huge piece of fabric and to stitch so much on it... while worrying about keeping this fabric so clean. If you plan to stitch this and have not yet, you might want to consider that aspect(?).

Tomorrow morning I am packing up my water damaged office in Haverhill! Yay!!! The move is on for Tuesday... I will try to get some photos soon. But, I have totally broken my landlord's heart. He is trying hard to get me interested in another office in the same building. But, you all know I just can't do that!!

Stitched on today: Bordeaux Mystery Sampler (just one little cluster of grapes, but it counts!) and Medieval Town Mandala

Carol, I'm amazed by your discipline. You keep going on this project, even when discouraged and bored with it. What an example you are to us all!

Well, it's too bad that the landlord feels badly about your moving. But if you were that important to him, he would have been on top of maintaining your office so you didn't have the water problems. No excuse for that! I hope your move goes smoothly and nothing is lost or damaged in the shuffle. :D

MTM is looking great.

I wanted to ask, not sure if you've already mentioned this and I've missed it, but did you lose any of your framed stitched pieces in the flood?

Your MTM looks wonderful ,I admire your discipline on this one.I'm also looking forward to stitching HOHRH but I probably wont start it for awhile yet maybe if this suits you we could start at the same time ,I still need to sort out fabric and threads and finish off a couple of other things before I start on it.
Hope the office move goes well ,these things eat up so much free time dont they!

MTM is just beautiful. You need to focus on the completed piece and how gorgeous this will look hanging in your home (I hope you have a spot picked out). You certainly can't give up now, you are too much of an inspiration to the rest of us stitchers and bloggers!

You're almost there on MTM - the hard parts are over (all those bloomin buildings!!). It looks beautiful. Congrats on the new office, you deserve to have a place that doesn't have the repeated flooding problems. Good for you!

It's gorgeous, Carol! I think we've all had a project or two that got boring after a while. The results will be worth the effort though. Congrats on sticking to this (very large!) project.

It really is beautiful! I understand the boredom factor though. I'm working on Alhambra Garden on and off and I don't think I'll ever do another mandala, no matter how beautiful - there is just too much repitition in the design for me. It looks just amazing though!

I really understand how you feel - you've done an amazing job keeping up with the parts on this. Keep going! There isn't much more to be done and it's so beautiful :)

Glad your new office is ready for you. Sorry about the landlord but maybe he should have taken better care of you! :)

Oh my you are quite bored aren't you. I give you great credit and my best regards in keeping on with the stitching through this all and the same amount of time spent on it as well. Happy to hear you're moving out of the Haverhill office.
