Halfway through Part 11

I am not sure I should be complaining about MTM. After all, this month's part is quick. The light is at the end of the tunnel. I guess I just feel like I have been running the Boston Marathon since last October - or rather, since February when the parts got huge, and now I am just reaching the top of "Heartbreak Hill" and I am winded! LOL! Anyhow... I got the second corner done tonight. This one is odd... the bottom of the tree runs right into the brown barn that is part of the town. I think that is a bit unlike Martina to throw off her symmetry in that way. The bottom right corner will run into the same issue, so the left side will fill properly, and the right side will show only part of the tree roots. Hmmmph. Still looks good, though.
I thought today I would show you my purple Rose of Sharon. I bought this on ebay back in 2001 when we moved into our house. As is typical with ebay plant purchases, it was just a bit of a twig then. It refused to bloom until now, even though it started to grow very large. What a nice sight it was this week to start to see the lovely purple blooms! I was just about ready to move it and see if it would be happier somewhere else in the garden. I am glad now that I did not make an impulsive move, because we like where it is now.

Stitched on today: Medieval Town Mandala

PS - Oh gosh - what Red Sox player will get hurt tomorrow? Tonight it was Doug Mirabelli... a few days ago, Jason Varitek... a few days before that, Trot Nixon. Oh, that is not good!

That IS somewhat odd for Martina. But as long as it looks good, that's what counts. :)

Your purple Rose of Sharon is lovely! I haven't tried any plants off of eBay. Is that how you purchased many of your gorgeous lilies? If so, I might have to give it a try!

Imagine how much bigger it would have been if she had tried to fix that ... might be a blessing in disguise. :o)

You are doing great on it, I don't have NEAR that much dedication to any one of my projects, no matter how close I get to finishing. Sad. ::sigh::

Happy weekend!

Great stitching!!!! And don't worry about the stitches touching the houses.... or just redo one stitch , maybe this makes it look more correct ( I hope you understand what I mean.)
The purple rose of Sharon is one of my favorites. I have one in my garden as well...but unfortunately deers ate all the fresh new green before they could start to bloom... sometimes the wild animals are annoying!

You can definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel! And that is unlike Martina. I have occasionally noticed I have to add in the random stitches here or there because of the way she "erases" the parts of the chart prior to them being released. Your roots look fine though! Keep up the beautiful stitching. Any plans for other Chatelaines after you finish MTM and M9?
