Finally, some progress on Bordeaux Sampler

I buckled down tonight and got back to work on the much ignored and neglected Bordeaux Sampler. As a result, I found out that I actually like this sampler again. It had fallen a bit out of favor with me due to the many over one (on 40 ct!!) grape clusters in Part 2. I had been stitching this sampler primarily at work, but tonight I brought it home and finished those clusters under my Ott-Lite. Quite easier and more pleasant! And, I was really happy when I printed out Part 3 tonight and saw that what I had assumed were more over one grape clusters are really rather fun looking rhodes stitches! So, I am back on track with this sampler once again! I have the next four days off, so along with finishing Dianne's Neighborhood Round Robin, I will probably also finish Part 2 of Bordeaux Sampler and maybe even start Part 3 (it looks like a quicker part).

Mike has one last pair of Gingher Cheetah 4" embroidery scissors for sale. First one who asks for them may have them. He is asking $22 plus $2.50 shipping (in the US - if you are out of the US, no problem - just let me know and he will look up the shipping with the USPS). Drop me an email or a comment here for these, and I will then send you his payment info. It may be a little while before he gets more Ginghers, so if you want these, grab them :-) -sold, thank you!

Stitched on today: Finished a gift, and Bordeaux Sampler

Your Bordeaux Sampler is gorgeous to look at, but stitching it over one must be murder on your eyes. I don't stitch anything without my OTT lamp. Not even on 28 count. I applaud you.

Hiya gorgeous! Just had to pop by and have a quick look at what you've been up to! Great going on Bordeaux :D Those Rhodes grapes are super quick, and even the blackwork bits are fast once you get into a rhythm with them. I'm finding this really hard to put down each week - I just want to keep stitching on it ;) I was looking ahead to the other parts too, and I'm very dismayed to see those over-one grapes in the next part (but the rest looks super quick) ... and I'm already groaning in advance for part 6 - what I thought were Rhodes grapes are ALL over-one boohoo :(

Great to see Angus home again, but sorry to hear Gig is in a bad way too ... you're having a bad run of it at the moment {{hugs}}.

Your BS is gorgeous - bu those over one bits on 40 count would have me rubbing my eyes out. I don't have an Ott light, but they sound like a slice of heaven on earth.

Your Bordeaux Sampler is just really beautiful!! Good job on it. I think it is great that you picked it up after not working on it for awhile. I need to get back to stitching too now! It has been too long!! Debby :)
