This Forest Has No Snow...

...unlike the forest that is my backyard... which is getting snowed upon at the moment. Moving along with And A Forest Grew again tonight, and I am in Section 3 now. Pretty soon I will be doing some of the verse :-)

Angus got his stitches out today, and his e-collar is gone... but... the vet remains quite concerned about his oxalate stones. He thinks there may be kidney damage or even a failing kidney. The emergency vet gave Angus a $315 ultrasound and said that there was no damage to the kidney. Very confusing. I have decided to take this one day at a time, as there does not seem to be any clear answers. He may end up needing subcutaneous fluid injections periodically. I am OK with that (don't know if Angus will be OK with it...). I used to give insulin to my silver persian for his diabetes. The procedure should be similar... if that is what is required... He is back on antibiotics now. Mike brought Angus in and felt this vet was really quite thorough. That is good.

Hi Carol, your wip's are really progressing and looking good. When are you starting Dawn Fairy? I sincerely hope Angus is not going to have anymore trouble!

Your forest is lovely, with or without snow!

I hope Angus' health issues are behind him and that he won't need any shots. Poor fella.

I'm greedy and I want to see your mermaid WIP that you worked on yesterday, too! I just love that one. A Forest Grew is looking great, too!! :)

Your forest is growing beautifully ... although your real forest sounds divine ... I wanna come over and roll around in that snow you're getting, it sounds like sheer heaven to me right now (as I sit here with sweat trickling down my back!). Glad to hear wee Angus has got his collar off and stitches out ... hope he gets away without having to have injections every day, but that he gets a resolution soon :)

Your forest is so pretty. I almost bought that piece while at the LNS. I'm so happy you're starting Dawn, FSoG! I've had that kitted up and ready to go forever. Maybe watching you will get me to pull it out?

Oh wow, it really is gorgeous. You've made up my mind, as soon as I finish a couple of things that's next on my list :-).

Oh poor Angus - but I bet he's happy not having the collar anymore.

Your forest is growing so fast too - lovely.

Your Forest is just so pretty! You get so much done!! I hope Angus is doing ok. It is confusing to have one vet say something and another say something else. Sometimes I feel like they just want to keep those tests coming for money to be made but we all want to do the best for our babies. He may just need added antibiotics after all he has been through. Hope he feels better with each day! Debby

That is the most gorgeous piece! And it gets more gorgeous as it grows. You are really making fast progress on this. Glad your baby got his collar off, hopefully that will help to perk him up. I think taking it one day at a time is probably the best thing for now. I still have him in my thoughts.

Beautiful progress on your Forest - I went looking for this chart last week and had no idea it was so big. :-) I can't wait to see more of yours...

Oh, dear. Poor you and poor Angus about the uncertainty. My sister had to give her kitty subcu. fluid, and he tolerated it really well. She learned to do it easily and he didn't seem to mind even though he was normally a cranky cat.

I will be thinking about Angus! I hope that he is better real soon :)

And A Forest Grew... QUICKLY! ;)

I'm glad that Angus is e-collar-less. I bet he's a lot happier now. I hope that he hasn't sustained any long-term damage as a result of his adventure!

I can't believe how much headway you are making, this is looking lovely. Glad Angus was able to get his stitches out and collar off, he must be so happy. Hopefully there is no kidney damage and he's fine.
