18th Century Band Sampler Update

Not much to say at all today... but did spend some time working on the Long Dog Mystery Sampler (18th Century Band Sampler) - and halfway through the row of carnations now... looking forward to Part 2. I like the personalization that goes on Part 2.

Angus update: He is holding his own, but is a bit depressed that he cannot have any dry food. He knows the others are getting some still, as we are trying to wean them off. But, he is doing a good job with his wet food and Mike thinks Angus is gaining weight now (I am not so sure). Thanks again for the continued emails asking about him! I regret that I cannot get to them all personally :-)

And, congratulations to all of the winners of the Silkweaver Showcase - well done, each and every one of you :-)

Stitched on today: Stitched on a gift, and 18th Century Band Sampler

Your Long Dog Mystery Sampler is really pretty!! I just love the color of fabric you chose to do this on! I love all the pinks, flowers and birds too. I wondered where you got this neat pattern. I may need to subscribe to Gift of Stitching Magazine. I have never done a mystery sampler and it sounds like fun!

I hope that Angus continues to do well! It is such a worry isn't it. He will get used to his food soon. It is harder on the owner I think sometimes. :)) Debby

That is so pretty. :) I like the little birds on it. I don't know how you stitch on that small count. I was at the LNS and I couldn't believe how small the X's are! I thought 32 was tiny :)

That is great some of your pieces made it into the finals for the Silkweaver showcase. I was browsing through them a few weeks ago, and saw Carol S. under several, I figured it was you! They are so beautiful.

Your Long Dog Mystery Sampler is looking gorgeous! Everyone seems to comment on the colours, and they sure are lovely.

I hope Angus gets used to his wet food soon.

I love this one. Pretty :o)

Poor Angus. He might not be enjoying it much but he sounds like he's doing well. I know how he feels in a way - remember when I got diabetes while pregnant and had to give up eating virtually everything I enjoyed? It must feel kind of the same to him.

I saw your entries into the Silkweaver competition :o)

It's so good to hear that Angus is eating (incidently I also had a cat called Angus once upon a time).

Your LDS is looking beautiful!

Mmmm I've loving your Long Dog Sampler. The colors in it are so pretty and the little birds are so cute. I'd not seen them when I looked at the pattern in the magazine.

I'm glad to hear that Angus is doing good. Thanks for keeping us posted about him.

Hi Carol! When I was in school eons ago we had a representative from a pet food company give us a talk about nutrition. She had 7 cats and said if you place the water bowl away from the food- sort of make it a "destination" spot that your cat will drink more water. I do that and my cats drink a lot of water. Just a little tip that may help.
Thank you for the update on Betsey. She is a lovely, funny, talented lady and I will keep her in my prayers.
Your stitching is lovely as usual!

Glad to know Angus is doing better. I've been thinking of starting the mystery sampler, too - what fabby are you using?

Yay for Angus hopefully gaining some weight! I'm sure that he will adjust to the concept of wet food only and be back to his normal, happy self again. :)

Both your LDS Band Sampler and The Forest Grew are really coming along. My cats are also sending good thoughts to Angus that he will continue to progress.edward2

The LD Sampler is just gorgeous, Carol. The colors are among my favorites. I subscribed to TGOS mag in January and I'm so glad I did because this will be added to my "to do" list. Thanks for the kitty update too!

Your sampler is looking so pretty. What fabric are you using for it? It compliments the colors beautifully. Although it will be ages before I get to it, I'm glad I subscibed to the magazine so that I'll have the pattern for in the future.

Glad Angus is holding his own. Hopefully he'll get more used to having to have his special food. Gaining weight is a good sign, hope when he goes back for a check up that the vet is happy with his progress.

Every time I come to your blog, I see that 'mystery' and really want to start it. It's looking so beautiful. Thank you for sharing this with us all. I have too many other commitments right now to start on this but it's definitely one for the future and makes me glad I subscribe to TGOS magazine. :o)
