Early Weekend

I worked on Dawn tonight, following my rotation. I had skipped her last week in order to get something else done.... but I gave her plenty of time tonight. Her dress is really growing now. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find my SAL mate for this one since our SAL started a couple of months ago :-(

It's a long weekend for me. Yay. I have tomorrow off. What will I do? Well, the weather should be gorgeous and there is a lot of gardening to do... but I also hope to get the basting/gridding done on my Neighborhood Round Robin (Group 1) - oh, how dull that will be!! LOL!!

Country Music Fans:: This is funny if you love country music (I am a huge fan of the new country music that has hit the scene as of late) - this video is apparently taken by someone's camera phone. Country Stars Taylor Swift and Kellie Pickler pulled a practical joke on Brad Paisley during his concert in Illinois last week - while singing his new hit, Ticks, they dressed up as ticks and swarmed him... and Jack Ingram came out and played the exterminator. Brad Paisley could barely keep from cracking up! (Trivia for you: Brad is married to Kimberly Williams-Paisley, the actress who plays Dana on According to Jim - very cute couple) -

TICKS

Stitched on today: Stitched on a gift, and Dawn, Fairy Spirit of Grace

Love country music..but have you heard the new "Robin Thicke" album? It is so sensuous, Carol!! Reminds me of Marvin Gaye when he as really good! Ah, well...your stitching goes on, and mine has come to a halt as I've been preping for the RRs. :)) Your glamorous girl looks stunning! Hugs, Deb

A good friend of mine from college met Brad Paisley when she was working at the Indiana State Fair...this was right around the time he was starting to make a name for himself. She got a picture of herself with him and jokingly referred to him as her future husband...LOL!

That was just tooo funny. Thanks for the link, it was great. I love country music, and have thought his song Ticks was pretty funny just listening to it, so this was an extra treat.

Dawn is looking wonderful, sorry you lost your SAL partner on her. I've only done one SAL, and I really enjoyed it, it does help to keep you motivated. Plus if they work on an area other than where you are it is fun to see the section that you'll be doing later.
