Feast or Famine.... A Lot to Share Today

Suddenly, all at once, almost everything I sent out and was waiting on arrived! I have a lot to share today!

First off, my A Trip Around the World Exchange on the SBEBB arrived safely with Cathy today! This was the second needleroll I have ever made, so I really hope she likes it! The tough part, I have found, is getting that inner seam to look OK inside the two open ends - I don't care much for that part - LOL!! It was particulary tough with lugana, that pretty much shreds on its edges... to see the rest of what I sent to Cathy, check out her blog - she put in a nice photo :-)

New Hampshire Needle Keeper
Eventide Designs
28 ct Moss Green Lugana, DMC Floss
Stitched 5/20/07 - 5/24/07

And, today, Barbara opened up her birthday gifts that I sent to her recently... this was actually my first ever needleroll, and I am so happy that Barbara likes it!!! I wanted to make something special for such a dear friend! She has a photo in her blog of the rest of her little gift package from me...

Mini Topiary Sampler 4 Needleroll
Jeannette Douglas Designs
Silkweaver 32 ct Blueberry Delight Lugana, DMC floss, Needle Necessities Floss, Mill Hill Petite Beads

Stitched in 2004, finished on 5/21/07

Rachael also opened up her birthday parcel from me today :-)

Protection Biscornu

Periphaeria Designs

Silkweaver Belfast Solo, Vikki Clayton silk in Turkey Red

Stitched 5/9/07 - 5/19/07

Finally, Tannia let me know today that she received a little parcel from me today too... I wanted to send something special to Tannia, as she is my little stitching angel right now. As you might know, Tannia recently sent me a parcel of treats because she felt I am always giving to others. As I told Tannia, some people are givers, some are receivers and a lucky few are both... well, I have always been a giver, so I cannot help myself!! I sent her this...

Stitching Cherub Fob

Casa Mia

36 ct Cream Edinburgh Linen, DMC Color Variations in Radiant Ruby

Stitched 5/19/07 - 5/20/07

This past weekend was Christmas Ornament SAL Weekend... I got a late start, and had to finish the last few stitches on my ornament this afternoon. I came across this chart when I was digging out the chart I wanted to use for the A Trip Around the World Exchange... I had bought that chart on ebay 2-3 years ago, and when I dug it out I remembered that the ebay seller had tucked this little chart inside of it as a bonus... so, I decided to stitch it...

Greetings from New Hampshire

Lindy Jane Designs

Natural Belfast Linen, DMC Floss

Stitched 5/28/07 - 5/29/07

And... of course, my weekly update of Paradigm Lost... :-)

My Garden Theme Exchange package was sent off today - I hope the recipient enjoys it!!!

Thanks for the sweet words about HOHRH! What you may not realize or remember is that I started it back in January of 2005! This is why not being able to finish in 2007 is at least a little bit disappointing for me... oh well!!

Stitched on today: Finished my Christmas ornament for the SAL, and Paradigm Lost

Your needlerolls are great! You and I were on the same wavelength - I stitched the Minnesota needleroll from Eventide for this exchange!

Carol, you are truly a generous stitcher! I'm amazed at how much you share with others! You inspire me!

Hello Carol, I've just discovered your blog and think all your stitching is lovely. I really like those needlerolls, they certainly don't look like your first ones. It's something I've been promising myself that I would try, but as yet have not plucked up the courage to have a go, one day perhaps. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your stitching.

Your needlerolls turned out great! I usually use French seams for mine, as it hides all the raw edges. You sew your first seam with WRONG sides together, trim the excess to about 1/8th inch, turn inside out and stitch another seam with RIGHT sides together. This hides all the raw edges.

Your needlerolls look great to me. I have done over 40 of Needlerolls, so you can say I am the expert..hahaha. You are always stitching gifts for others and are very generous. I have a hard time giving away things that I stitched. The biscornu and the scissor fob are very pretty.

Wow Carol-You are amazing! Such gorgeous things! You are so talented. If I started working on VoHRH today it would take me 10 years to finish! I think with all the gifts/projects that you do it is incredible that you finish any of your BAPs.

Robin said...

OOps meant to say HoHRH but really village, houses, huts, tents it would still take me 10 years!

I love all the things you stitched! There's some great comments with needleroll tips - I just finished my first one, and was only so-so pleased with how I did. Do you have any tips for them?

PL is looking GOOD! I do have Blue Moon -- but I had not thought about the beach umbrella and chair. I like your idea.

Take a look at the mermaid -- she is from Blue Moon.
