Over-One Fun

Not the good kind of fun tonight... I just chose that word because it rhymed. I like over-one stitching, but didn't enjoy it tonight. The grape clusters are really densely stitched, and my drive for perfect stitches really slows me down... aggravated me tonight, actually. But I am OK... the final effect when the sampler is done will be well worth it!

Stitched on today: Started a gift, and Bordeaux Sampler

Your Bordeaux is looking wonderful Carol, I am certain your fussiness will pay off and your will have another beautiful piece to add to your collection.

Well, if this had been my sampler, it would have been lying in a mangled heap at the bottom of the pond. Over-one on such high count fabric... Well, you know how I feel about that. But your sampler does look absolutely gorgeous, so keep it up!

I have to admit when I pulled Bordeaux out yesterday in my 'new home' I struggled to see without my daylight bulb, so I've cheated and jumped down to the last band for a while until I can stitch in daylight! ;) I miss reading your blog :( BTW, I forgot to send you an email from work before I left - your envelope arrived today, thanks so much chickadee {{hugs}}.

Your doing an amazing job on this piece Carol. I don't know if I could have done it. It's going to look beautiful when it's done.

Goodness--I have missed a lot in the last week! Your stitching is (as usual) just beautiful. I agree that sometimes over-one can be a pain but it is sooo worth it.

Looks like you are almost finished with the Paradigm piece that I have been stitching vicariously through you, too LOL

Lily and Beau are adorable... just want to nestle in all their fur :)

Take heart--it will be worth it--it's so nice already! I felt similarly last night about my stitching and dropped the whole thing and read a book instead.

No one seems to like those grape clusters, so you are definitely not alone. It's going to look fantastic!

I really have grown to love this piece! All that over one work goes amazingly fast for you, this piece would take me about a decade to finish!

Great progress! I can't wait to see this one finished!

Sorry to hear that the stitching wasn't much fun, but you are going to LOVE this when it's done and hanging up for everyone to see. It really is stunning.

That is so pretty, and one over one looks so great when it is done. However, having to do quite so much over one, and so many grapes, would seem to get a little old this far into the project. Hopefully you'll be onto a new section soon.
