Paradigm Lost...

Here is my update of Paradigm Lost for tonight and last Tuesday. I am really close to the end now, and am facing a little bit of a quandry. I would love to sit down and just finish this. But, it is a SAL and the agreement is to stitch on Tuesdays together. My SAL mate has gone temporarily MIA and did not reply to my request for an update. But, I also feel it would be cheating, or at least unfair, to start stitching on another night... so..... well, here is where it stands now. Hopefully my partner will post an update soon - makes the SAL much more fun :-)

Speaking of SALs, I am rethinking doing the St Reatham one. I cannot figure out what fabric and fiber I want to use... and then it dawned on me that there are so many other projects I want to stitch instead... I hope everyone in that group understands, and I will enjoy watching your progresses in your blogs :-)

Stitched on today: Finished a gift, and Paradigm Lost

I sure understand your urge to finish Paradigm. When I got to the last bands on Celtic Banner, I could not stop myself and went on to finish it in a week. Beautiful stitch. You have inspired myself and three others to do this as a SAL this winter.

Go for it, Carol! If your SAL mate is MIA and non-responsive. I'm sure she'll understand your desire to see it finished. :)

I'm a really terrible SAL partner -but you know that already *grin* and I say if it were me - I wouldn't be upset if you wanted to press on and get it finished - especially as it is sooooooooo close (and looking fabulous)....go on....you know you want to......

I think you should go on and finish if you really want to. I would understand if it were me. It is looking great! Also, don't worry about the St Reatham SAL. The whole point of this is that we should enjoy ourselves! The last thing we need is to feel pressured about stitching! ACK that would take all the enjoyment out of it.

Paradigm Lost is looking lovely! I understand the urge to finish, too. If your partner has gone MIA, you should go for it, but I understand your reluctance. You'll be done soon enough, though.

Any suggestions on where to join a new SAL?

Definitely go ahead and finish if you want to Carol. I'm stitching at such a slow rate these days that I'll never catch up to you anyway.

I agree with everyone else - I say keep going if you want! Like everyone is always tell me - stitching is supposed to be fun, if your having fun, don't stop! :)

Oohhh your so close Carol! I hope you hear from Jo so you can finish this soon. Thanks for the message you left on my blog yesterday. I'm usually not a scissor person but, I can't pass these up. *grin*

PL is lovely, and you are so close to being done. I admire your restraint in not finishing it up, but if your SAL pal is not responding to your emails, I would go ahead and stitch on other days. It will be such fun to have such a large and gorgeous piece done. What an accomplishment to add to the other finishes you have completed this year.

Carol, dear, Go for it and move on!! You've really been in the race on this one, and you deserve to let it go and enjoy the end result. It's lovely!!

Deb

It's so beautiful - can't wait to see your finish on it. I definitely understand wanting to put St. Reatham on hold and work on some other things - can't wait to see what you pick up next - you always choose stunners!

Oh Carol, how can you resist? When I get down to the finish line-I usually don't stop until it's done. I hope you hear from your partner soon. It looks beautiful.

It looks gorgeous Carol :)

I don't think I'm going to be able to afford St Reatham right now anyway, and I certainly don't have time to do it (LOL!), so I understand :)
