Fair and Square blocks from Margaret Wong :-)

Ah, lucky me! Mike went to the post office today to pick up some registered mail from Malaysia. I received these beautiful Fair and Square blocks from Margaret Wong. I just adore Prairie Schooler and these are so beautifully stitched - thank you Margaret! This is for Round 1, and I am looking forward to Round 2 starting soon. I hope my blocks arrive safe and sound in Kuala Lumpur for Margaret very soon!

I have made Tuesdays into Round Robin night, so I picked up Karen's round robin again tonight. I am using LHN's Psalm 145 to start with. I put the house up high as there would otherwise be an awful lot of sky. I will omit the hilly lawn that is on the chart and do my own landscaping and accessorizing, including a walkway to tie it together and let it flow as well as I can :-)

...and, just to show that I do not only grow daylilies - here is a clump of Japanese Iris growing in the wilder area of our garden. We have about an acre of land to the left of our house that is growing wild - this clump is so close to that area that you can see an old fallen tree in the background. Someday I would love to expand that area into more lawn and garden.

Thanks for all the nice words about yesterday's horrible sighting. I have not found any news anywhere about the driver :-( However, I sure saw the scraping marks on the concrete barrier when I got on the highway to drive west on my way to work this morning. They made me cringe...

Stitched on today: Finished a gift, and Karen's Neighborhood Round Robin

Super squares from your partner. What are you making your squares into? Smalls or quilt?

Lovely irises!

Oh, those iris are beautiful! As is your stitching. :) I was in an MA exchange with Margaret a couple of years ago and have a lovely Christmas MA from her that I hang up every year. :)

The squares you got are lovely. You've made a nice start on the RR. OOhh your flowers are so pretty. I need to add more of them to my yard next year. I just love looking at them.

Your stitching photos always wow me and inspire me to get busy and your flower photos are mighty wownderful too. Maybe sometime you can take a wider shot from a little distance, I bet I'm not the only one who'd like to see the big picture of all your nimble-green-thumbedness. Thanks for all your pictures and (albeit unknowingly given) encouragement!

For some reason I couldn't comment on your last couple of posts, I kept just getting that pop up section of did I want to see all secure pictures and everytime I clicked yes, it refreshed the page. I tried with no and it did the same thing :(

I love the iris, as you know I just love them full stop. I must get some and plant them when they come out in the nursery in September.

What a horrible thing to happen yesterday. I hope everyone was ok. Let us know if you manage to find anything out.

I love that you're landscape gardening while you're stitching too lol. You certainly can't get much closer than that to two of your hobbies at the same time!

The square you received is so cute. I can see why you like PS designs, the hive and bees are such fun. The RR you are working on is looking great as well, I'm looking forward to seeing what all you are going to do with it.
