Summer Quaker Exchange

I received this very pretty and very sunny Summer Quaker Exchange from Chris today. This exchange is from the SBEBB. Chris sent me this pretty scissor fob using a portion of Quaker Flower by The Workbasket, and it is so beautifully stitched. She also sent me a piece of Sunburst Yellow belfast (I will have fun using that!), a wee diary and a skein of Carrie's Creation floss (which is not in the photo - I accidentally dropped it on my sundeck and discovered it after the photo was taken). Thanks so much Chris - you made my week!! Very nice exchange!!
I decided to put some work in on Mermaid Heaven tonight. I had planned to use Fridays to work on round robins, but I am letting myself use the excuse that I do not have the GAST Chamomile yet - not that that matters, but it is my excuse, and I am sticking with it! Anyhow, I started Part 4 tonight. I know some have left comments that this will be done soon now, but that is an illusion. I counted what is left to do. The bottom two sections that are left are 60 stitches high by 190 stitches wide, and they are full stitching with no gaps. This will surely still take a while!

OK...I have decided to give a gift to the stitcher who posts the 1,000th post in the
Freebie Gallery blog. I am sure Becky won't mind that I am borrowing her idea - she is doing the same thing in her
The World's Largest Collection of Smalls blog. The freebie gallery has gone rather quiet, but I know there are a lot of you out there with stitched up freebies to show us. Please share :-) To sign up, email me at carolsutcliffe@comcast.net. Thanks!!

The mermaid is coming along so well Carole! The end is in sight! It's so pretty.

I'll email about posting access to the freebie gallery (didn't know about it or I'd have said sooner, lol. Gotta love a freebie!) I seem to have a problem with the smalls blog though because all the posts are on the one page. My laptop freezes as it tries to load all the pics at once. Fingers crossed the freebie blog doesn't go that way as I GOTTA get my mitts on the freebie ideas! lol.

Aww look at her - she's gorgeous! When I stitch this one I'm going to have a go at changing the little baby girl to a boy. I can't believe there is still so much to do on her. She really does look so near to being finished.

I might just have to stitch a freebie now so I can post on your Freebie blog :o)
