A Beautiful Surprise

Today I received the most wonderful surprise in the mail! My blog is apparently being read by a lovely woman named Maria in Canada. She stitched this beautiful Alyssum Scissor Case for me and sent it to thank me for the enjoyment she says she gets from my blog. Awwww. Isn't the world just amazing?? I don't think Maria has a blog, but I sure wish that she did! Thank you Maria! I am embarrassed about accepting such a lovely surprise, and I will treasure it always. It is Maria's first scissor case, and it is simply perfectly stitched!

We are feeling much better here today, although several of my clients told me today how very ill they have also been over the past week. This is apparently a stomach flu. I have an update from tonight of Cathy's Neighborhood Round Robin. It is almost ready to go to Annemarie now. I am just down to having the backstitching to do (I even got some of that done tonight) and to add my name/state. I really like how this is coming out.

Thank you all for your sweet wishes and concerns. They really lifted us. I will remain ridiculously busy at work for another two weeks until my big project ends on Sept 18th. But I will try to squeeze in some blog reading time, as I feel I am so far behind now with what you are all doing. I miss you!

Stitched on today: Stitched on a gift, and Cathy's Neighborhood Round Robin

As I have said before, my day is not complete until I have read your blog for the day. I love the Clam house. It is looking good. You are an inspiration to a lot of people with you stitching and the fact that you do a blog almost everyday. Great job. Glad to hear you are on the mend.

I had already seen a preview of the Alyssum Scissor Case and it is beautiful! I so agree with Maria's sentiments. Your blog is a joy to read!

I love the Alyssum Scissor Pocket, I've stitched a couple of them this year. Maria did a lovely job.

I love the piece you chose for your RR - can you share who the designer is? I'd love to get the chart!

Carol, The clam shack is perfect! I love the flag, especially. So sorry you all have been so sick...yucky! And, happy the bug has flown from you. Your blog is a staple in my life. I don't know what I'd do without notes from you, Carol. I'm so glad you're there and that you're my friend. So, your blog is a lifeline...
Hugs,
Deb
