Victoria's Quaker Again

No surprises here. It is Tuesday, and of course, Victoria's Quaker again. I wouldn't miss it for anything. I did get in the extra skein of OMG Red from Vikki Clayton a few days ago, and the dye lots are relatively close. Close enough to really not matter much. I started using some of the new red tonight so that it will be mixed in with the original red a little. The new skein is just a little bit duller than the original one. Getting the silk was a bit of an ordeal. The customer service from this seller leaves a lot to be desired. OMG. I will leave out the gorey details.

Stitched on today: Started a gift, and Victoria's Quaker

Just gorgeous as usual! I can imagine that it would be hard not to pull it out every week. Sorry to hear that getting the extra silk was such a hastle. Customer service has been an issue at several places lately.

Bad customer service is something that I find really hard to tolerate, how can it be so hard to get something right. That aside, VQ is looking stunning.

Sad to hear getting the extra floss was such a hassle. :( But it's worth the hassle for such a wonderful project.

Making good progress and it is soooo gorgeous.

Did you order from VC store? Is it really...that..gorey?? LOL

I was once trying to order from there, but I only wanted about 1 or 2 skiens and there was an extra charge for not buying many...I did not go ahead with my purchase. =| Why i wish some people on ebay should sell those threads...

Anyways, your quaker is very pretty. I really love that lady stitching, she is my favorite view. =)

Sorry to hear that silk wasn´t what you expected !! I just love this design and I think it´s your most beautiful WIP.

It's a good thing you had enough of the "old" red to mix with the new skein so you don't have a startling transition. Too bad you didn't get the amount needed in the first place!

It's going to be beautiful !

Looking stunning as always Carol. One of my friends just went through the same ordeal with VC. She was so cowed that she asked me to buy her extra skeins for her project - just couldn't go though it all again.

Sorry to hear getting the extra silk was a problem. I've heard that a couple of times that customer service is not so good. Anyway VC is looking wonderful:)

Carol, Victoria's Quacker is looking great. Sorry that you had trouble obtaining more silk, I just hate bad customer service!

I'm amazed you got as much done with the red as you did before you ran out. There's a lot of it! As you already know. :) f

VQ is looking stunning, you are charging along! Poor customer service is such a downer; I feel like my gran for saying it, but really I don't know what the world is coming to!

Its looking great but Leslie is so right, so many stitching suppliers think bad service is acceptable will add VC to my list lol

VC is looking lovely!!! Sorry to hear about the bad customer service :( I've had nothing but excellent service from her! Even with returning for a different color ... not having enough to finish a project and only ordering a couple skeins. Weird.
Hope you enjoy your day :)

Looking good! Sorry to hear that you had trouble with the service; that's one of the reasons that I'm working so hard on the service people get from my store. Try to outweigh the bad experiences people have elsewhere.

Looks like you'll be done with this piece in no time flat. :)

VQ looks great!

Sorry to hear about the bad costumer service. I never had any problems with VC but it has been a while since I ordered from her. I do need some colours at the moment though, I hope that will go well!

Great progress on the VQ. I have heard from others about problems with VC, sorry about your ordeal.

Victoria is a real beauty, Carol! This customer service thing is partly why I usually stick to DMC. They sell it everywhere!

Customer service at most places nowadays, unfortunately, is more like "customer no service". The unfavorable experiences are outnumbering the favorable experiences anymore...and I find that sad.

It's beautiful! Sorry to hear about all your troubles getting the thread you needed in the first place!

Victoria's Quaker is just beautiful!! I just love the little stitcher in it! I know what you mean about some of the sellers of these things!! My LNS is very hard to get help from. I order things online more than they know because they don't have things in stock that come out new and I can order as fast as they can. I hope that the colors of the thread match up well for you! I is just so awesome!! Debby :)
