Thank you, Friends :-)

Major developments with Spring Ride tonight - now there is a snout of a horse starting to show up! LOL. I didn't spend a lot of time with it tonight, though. Ava and other things were a bit of a distraction. Too bad, because I think I will enjoy this part. It flows better than the flowers did.

Thank you for all of your concerns and kind comments regarding Ava. She usually sleeps between Mike and I by our pillows, but she did not come up to bed last night. I found her this morning, back in my stitching chair. I figure she spent the night there. I will be bringing her up to bed tonight... I am so used to having her with me. One of her meds is a strong analgesic and is a controlled substance. She is showing effects of being on this medication - glassy eyed, not herself... But she seems to be holding her own pretty well, and the ulcer above her lip appears to be trying to scab over. If only she would stop licking it... Oh, and for those who have asked about Angus lately, I weighed him a few days ago and he is now 7.4 pounds on our digital postal scale. That is progress, but he is still small (all of my cats are small and range from 6.5 to 9.4 pounds - I am not sure why they are all so small, but I think it is their canned food diet - low carbohydrate, for sure!). Everytime my cats go to the vet, the vet always comments on how small each is... ??? There was even a comment last night that Ava is only 6.5 pounds, noting on the paperwork "thin, but not clinically dehydrated." Gasp! Well, it is better than having obese cats, right?

Stitched on today: Stitched on a gift, started a Crazy Exchange project, and Spring Ride

Spring Ride is looking good and is so pretty. Who designed that anyway? Glad your cat is feeling better. I have a small cat too who weighs 7 lbs. He gets Science Diet and I credited that with keeping his weight down. Some cats are just destined to be small I guess.

OMG, Spring Ride is really looking gorgeous. When I opened your post, I almost gasped at how beautiful it is. It seems so light and airy.

You will enjoy that section, it's a nice easy page to stitch and grows really quickly. You have done so much already!

Poor Ava. She looks so sad. I do hope her medication works soon.

Riley loves you blog. He always comes over and climbs on my knee when he sees it on my screen. I think it's the lovely orange flowers but today he saw Ava and said CAT lol.

Your photo of Ava is so cute. I wish my Tobie would cuddle, but he's not a cuddler. He is a whopping 15 pounds though and from toe to tail about 30 inches. He's a big boy, but not overweight.

Spring Ride is coming along beautifully.

I'm glad the meds are helping Ava. Don't feel too bad my kitties are skinny. I am convinced I can't grow big kitties..lol.

Catching up with your weekend news today, Carol... I'm so sorry about Ava! Poor sweetie. I hope she gets better real soon.
And, yes, I completely agree. Having small cats is definitely better than having them obese.

Please give a scratch to Ava for me, OK? Miss Cutie says hello ;)

Spring ride is looking great!

Don't sweat the 'weight' issue. I have three & they are all different bone structures & weights. The only one we monitor carefully is our 20-yr old Button -- who is on special medications right now. She has been 7lb, 13oz for months. She is just old. For a cat. And sees the vet monthly. As our vet says "each day with her is a gift".

I enjoy your stitching & cat pics very much!!!

Playing catch up with comments, I was really sorry to hear about Ava but glad she seems to be responding to the meds. The photo of her is so sweet! Our cat Pippy prefers to drink water from a glass, filtered, straight from the fridge LOL :)

Spring ride looks great too.

I think most vets are so used to seeing overweight cats anymore that they don't remember what it's like to see a cat at a healthy weight! Glad to hear Ava is responding already.
I really enjoy seeing your progress on Spring Ride every week. I love this one.

I don't wish to dampen your enthusiasm, but I haven't been able to detect a horse :o/
Give Ava a cuddle from me!

Hi, I´m new here. You have an interesting bog. I also have cats and have done some cross stich pictures.
In my blog is unfortunately not enough place, but I would like to show this in the next time with some decoration.
Hope your kittie will be better soon.

What a funny little snout showing up amongst the flowers, Carol!! I love the way you take us through your progress like this. Poor tiny Ava. I know it's hard to see a pet hurt like she is. I hope she's all well very soon. She has such beautiful coloring. Take care, Carol.
Love and hugs,
Deb

Spring Ride looks amazing. Those flowers were worth all the work.

Hopefully Ava's ulcer heals quickly and she can get back to her normal self soon. I get similar comments about Cooper and Zoe at our vet. Cooper is especially lean despite the fact that he is always eating:)

Spring Ride is looking lovely. I'll be interested to see more of the horse appear. My smallest cat is 12 pounds, so I can't even begin to imagine how small yours are. I've got them on a low carb diet, but apparently they need to spend more time going up and down the stairs with me!

Poor Ava, sounds painful. I am glad to hear that she is a little better-though I am sure it's scary with those pain meds. I am behind on my blog reading here. Spring Ride is looking wonderful too.
