Exchanges, a PIF and Goals... (& more!)

When it rains, it pours... feast or famine... however one chooses to look at it, all of a sudden I have a lot to share at one time! I had Mike mail off three packages on Monday... all arrived at the same time, despite their highly varied destinations... Texas, New York and The Netherlands. Good job Postal Service!!

Michelle has received the SBEBB Harvest Time Exchange that I sent to her. Michelle spoiled me absolutely rotten just a couple of weeks ago with the most amazing Halloween Exchange - you may easily recall that one! Well, I had to step up and reward her! You can see a photo of all of the goodies I sent her in her blog... I made for her my very first box - and I am very pleased with how it turned out, and am thrilled that Michelle is so pleased (Mike, who always like to help out, stained and varnished the box for me) :

Silkweaver Belfast Solo, GAST Floss

Mel also received my Crazy Exchange that I made for her. I really enjoy Mel. She is so active on the bulletin board and takes the extra time to leave wonderful and encouraging comments for everyone in the group. I just had to contact Sandie and request to stitch for her this time around.

Peace Fob

Here is my humble start to the house block portion of Deb's Neighborhood Round Robin. I took a wide shot of it tonight as I only just realized now that Karen and I stitched the same little woman with blackbirds from Barrick Designs' Sampler Folk! Fortunately, we did not use the same colors for the dress! I was blown away when I realized that! I could not see Karen's as it was in my large Q-Snap! I sure hope you don't mind, Deb! I did manage to omit the "dufus" smile on the moon, as you requested in your directions ;-) I readjusted the moon to also omit the protruding nose that was on it... with no eye and grin, that nose just looked... well, odd and out of place!

LOL Carol!! I love that you chose the little sampler folk soul that was YOU! Don't worry about it at all. And, that's great about Ms Moon!!:) What I most wanted from my Neighborhood was that it would have these types of personal improvisations and inspirations! I love it!
Also, beautiful work on your exchanges and gifties, Carol. You are so thoughtful.
Love and hugs,
Deb

Carol, crazy question, but how do you attach the ribbon on your Nature's Alphabet fobs? I've tried looking at your post pictures and not having any luck. For instance, do you secure it before you sew the fob together?

Thanks for any help.
