Finished Deb's Neighborhood Round Robin :-)

Tonight I finished my portions on Deb's Neighborhood Round Robin! Cross another 'must-do this month' off my list now!!! This round robin is in three portions, so I shall walk you through it.

The first section will contain the verse from Heaven Above by Midsummer Night Designs, according to Deb. She will stitch the rest of the verse in later. Deb asked us each to stitch our little spirit up in this area for her. She included Sampler Folk by Barrick Designs, and I chose to stitch this little lady with two blackbirds to represent my spirit...

Next is the earthly part of our existence, and Deb supplied several of the pithies charts by The Workbasket... I chose this one, Love Never Dies. I love it! This was a very, very fun house block to stitch!! (Deb's blocks are very large as she plans to do a lot of finishing work on this at the end - I think she is going to add bunnies, birds, critters, trees, etc to bring all the blocks together).

And, to finish off the neighborhood, Deb asks us each to stitch a tombstone and to embellish the cemetery a bit if we would like... I had to choose a death year for myself ;-) I chose to live to age 90 for the sake of this sampler :-) And I added one of the blackbirds that my spirit is holding up in the heavenly portion of the RR.... hope Deb likes that :-)

To give you (and Deb, of course!!!) an idea of how this now looks after myself, Karen and Bine (well, Bine will be getting this back - she was in the midst of a trans-Atlantic move when she had this RR) have stitched on it - very large piece of linen, probably is a fat half. Taking a photo of the entire project is a bit of a challenge.

I will mail this off to Nikki on Tuesday. The post office will be closed on Monday for Veteran's Day...

Stitched on today: Started my Specific Designer (LHN) Exchange project, and finished Deb's Neighborhood Round Robin **Mailed off my USEBB Eye of the Needle Exchange today

You did a wonderful job on this. I don't know that I could have done my own tombstone and death year! *Shudder* But you did super!

What a cool RR that is. I love the three sections they look so fun to stitch. I probably would have picked the lady with the crows too since I like them so much.
