First Snow Day... with exchanges and gifts!

We had our first snow day of the year today... a bit earlier than any I could remember in recent past, and I hope that is not a sign of things to come. Here in southern New Hampshire, we got over 6" of snow... closer to 8", I think. I stayed home from work after calling my office and finding the majority of my schedule had already cancelled out anyhow. But... the mailman was working today!

First, though, I heard tonight from Alison that she just received the SBEBB Christmas Ornament Exchange that I sent to her. This is the ornament that I had to restitch and rebuild after I discovered that it had two spots of dried glue on the linen. When I tried to clean those, the Cherry Wine Sampler Threads in the heart on the dove ran... I couldn't send her an ornament with a dove with a bleeding heart! Besides, the glue spots didn't budge anyhow.

And, this is a the entire exchange that I sent... I took the photo from Alison's blog since I forgot to take a photo when I packed it all up for her... I tried to avoid the wintry theme since Alison lives in a tropical climate. But I couldn't resist a Fresh Fallen Snow wax tart :-)

I received a total surprise in the mail today. Andrea sent me this ornament as a Christmas RAK. It is just beautiful and I am stunned by it. Thank you so much Andrea! It is already on the tree and looks great! I will cherish it forever.
More mail... I received the Crazy Exchange Christmas Exchange from Caro ... and isn't it something? I am so excited about this little wall quilt! I have been admiring her work in the Crazy Exchange and am so honored now to own this lovely piece all for myself! Thank you Caro!!!!
And last, but certainly not least... a return exchange from Mel of the Crazy Exchange. Such a sweet little biscornu and baby fob! I adore them, thank you!! I already ate the licorice, totally ignoring that I do not eat sugar :-) And what pretty red ribbon. Great job - thank you Mel!!!

All secret stitching tonight... so not going to show any :-)

Stitched on today: Finished two gifts and CE Christmas Exchange project, stitched on Stitching Bloggers Christmas Exchange for Natty **Mailed out a new Crazy Exchange today

All the stitching is awesome, but that primitive little wall quilt just steals the show!

When I got my last email from mom, they'd gotten 11 inches and she'd closed her office - and it was only midafternoon! Brrr!!!
