Spring Exchange for Myrna

I heard from Myrna today that she has received my Spring Exchange for her. For the past year, I have had the pleasure of stitching for Myrna and sending her treats for the Seasonal Exchangers group. This ends the first year, and I have a new victim for next year ;-) I had such a great time stitching for Myrna this past year. She is such a sweetie! I won't go into showing the whole gift package... but I did send her these two stitched gifts...

Spring Biscornu

Hello Spring Pinkeep

Lizzie Kate

32 ct Sunburst Yellow Belfast Linen, GAST and WDW Floss

I am still a bit shaken by an almost-accident that almost took place on my way home from the seminar yesterday. Some woman in a mini van was eager to get her iced coffee at Dunkin' Donuts yesterday, and was cutting across two lanes of traffic on a busy road near the airport... right in my path... yesterday. A near miss. I jammed on my brakes and still cannot believe that I was not rear ended by the traffic behind me. Rattled!

OK.... secret exchange stitching time for me....

Lovely Spring exchanges for Myrna.
Glad you are safe - some people should not be allowed on the roads!

Just gorgeous Stitching for Myrna, Carol! I love that Biscornu - very nicely done.

You'd think the cost of fuel would keep the yahoo's off the road (or does it make things worse, I wonder) Glad to hear you are safe!

You poor thing, I hate the way near misses leave me feeling.

Beautiful pieces!! Lucky Myrna!!

Near misses are terrifying! So glad you didn't get hit, though!

I love the biscornu and pinkeep you did for Myrna - such wonderful bright colours!

I am glad you are safe - unfortunately that type of driving behaviour is very common on the roads here (mostly by expats who should know better too!) - you need eyes in the front, back and side of your skull, and quick reflexes!!

Great stitching pieces for Myrna.

So glad to hear you are safe.

Both pieces are gorgeous Carol, so colourful and cheerful!

Glad you're OK, there are some real idiots out there on the road (but never a traffic cop when you need one!)

Lovely finishes Carol. It amazes me how you find the time to come up with all these wonderful gifts, plus your own stitching.

Okay...that's the cutest biscornu I've seen yet. Very cute and Myrna is very lucky to be on the receiving end of such a nice stitch.
The driver was probaby talking on their cell phone too! Driving defensively is the only way to go now a days.

I'm glad to hear you are okay and that there was no accident. So many drivers are so distracted and inconsiderate these days!

Your exchange for Myrna is wonderful! Both are very cute, but I must say that the biscornu is my favorite! :)

I'm glad nothing happened to you ... I'm always surprised how people can put others at risks (and sometimes be mad at us even though it's them who made the mistakes ... )

You made such beautiful gifts !!!

That sounds very scary Carol! I'm glad you were alright! It never ceases to amaze me how some people drive. Last week I watched a woman putting on her mascara while she was driving on one of our major highways.Incredibly stupid!!
Your exchanges are lovely. I just received a couple of Barbara Ana designs recently. They're so colourful!
