Stunning Ornament from Jill

I received this stunning ornament from Jill yesterday for the Christmas Ornament Swap. I just adore it. I believe she wrote that the designer is gazette94 and she did not know what fabric this one. Looks like mulberry to me, which is one of my favorites. I just love this delicate ornament, which is, of course, absolutely perfectly stitched and finished by Jill. I surely will treasure this forever, thank you Jill!

I also heard today that KarenV has received the wee birthday gift I put together for her. I was rather disappointed in how this one turned out. My eyes have been so tired and blurry, and I wish I had pressed the fabric better at finishing time :-( I hope Karen will do so with a low setting. Should work out better... I am sorry Karen! I totally missed that with my tired eyes!

It's beautiful, Carol!

You'll keep us posted about your eyes, right? (I don't always comment, but I read!!)

Both exchanges are beautiful!!!!!!

I just went to change my driver's license and when they did that sight test, it was kind of blurry... Yikes!! I think I need a new prescription as well!!!!

that is indeed a lovely ornament - so delicate.
Your floss ring tag is gorgeous as well.
I hope that your eye problems are quickly cured

Stunning was exactly the word I would have used to describe the ornament. The fob is great, too. I hope your eyes are ok and that you only need new glasses.

I had a (sort of )funny thing happen with the eye test at the dmv. My opthamologist said I could probably pass the eye test without my glasses. I didn't see the sense of doing that but for some reason he thought it would be great to not have that restriction on my license. I went to the dmv, took off my glasses, dropped and BROKE them, and then didn't pass the test!!!! It's funny now....

Hi, Carol--been there with the eyes. I needed a stronger prescription but also, I was using them using them and they seemed always tired, dry, itchy and blurry. Turned out I have chronic dry eye--something a lot of women get. My eye dr's prescription: Systane (over the counter) eyedrops 4 x a day, plus fish oil capsules in the a.m. and p.m. I can't believe the difference--such a relief. Between the computer, the reading and the needlework, we give our eyes a workout! Best of luck and hopefully your eye dr. does as well for you.

They're both lovely. I've seen the one design before, but not done on mulberry. I love how the mulberry makes the white just pop. Your fob looks great too. Fobs are such fun to use, and the design you chose fits on it so perfectly. Glad you're going to see the eye doctor soon. Hopefully you'll get a new perscription and your eyes will do much better.

I love the floss ring you stitched for Karen.

The ornament you received from Jill is lovely, too.

Love the mulberry linen against the white stitching - lovely job by Jill! And don't blame yourself for the lack of pressing on Karen's lovely floss tag - I feel confident it was the manhandling it would have received in the post :)

Jill's ornament is beautiful. I printed it out and will stitch it, too. Your floss ring tag for Karen also shows a very pretty Quaker design. I love it.
I hope that you will have new glasses soon so that you can stitch as before. I went through the same thing and after receiving my new glasses could count the leaves on the trees again, lol. It really makes a difference.

Both finishes are lovely. :) I hope your eye issues are sorted out quickly and painlessly!

Lovely floss tag! It will probably flatten in the mail : ) Beautiful ornament, too.

Hope your eye issues are resolved quickly. Allergies cause my eyes to water -- but that is just me.

Jill did a fantastic job on that ornament! I've got a few of the freebies by gazette94 but have yet to stitch any. This one of one of my favourites.

Hi Carol, I hope everything's OK with you?

Just wanted to let you know that my emails to you are definitely all coming back as undeliverable for some reason, including the thank you email I sent about my birthday gifts. The message I'm getting says something about being blocked for spam? Anyway, just to let you know...
