Progress on HOHRH remains rather slow. It is even difficult to see my progress tonight, as I stitched a lot of ecru tonight - between the orangey (Tiger Lily) bricks on the side of the house. At some point this year, as an opening in my rotation reveals itself, I may end up stitching this twice a week in the interest of hopefully finishing it this year.... started it in January 2005... :-(

Just got up from my stitching and saw Beau (my oldest, on the left) and Ava (my youngest, on the right) napping together on Mike's newspaper. Funny thing is, both have been having problems lately with slapping other cats.... now they are hanging out together. These are my two problem children lately.
FOR MY INTERNATIONAL RED SOX LOVING FRIENDS - I have a few...last night's back to back to back to back home runs, and some Yankee stuff too, to be fair :-)
The way you're speeding through Bordeaux at the moment will hopefully mean it won't be too much longer before that one's finished - although those pesky over-one grapes might slow us up somewhat ;) Even though it feels like sloooow progress, any progress is good progress! :D Love the kitties too ... good to see them playing nicely after giving you some headaches! :D
ReplyDeleteOh, Ava and Beau are so beautifull!
ReplyDeleteYour Houses are an inspiration, Carole. Progress may be slow, but you're getting there and it looks amazing! I'm getting itchy fingers now, wanting to get back to my Village!!
ReplyDeleteLove those two cats, very cute!
Awww, what a cute pic of your 'problem children'! ;-)
ReplyDeleteYour babies are just too precious for words!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the vid. I did some woohoo-ing here!
ReplyDeleteAh, the Houses. What can I say. Jealous. I think I'm jealous.
Ava and Beau look so cute. You'd never know they have been the bad children lately.
ReplyDeleteI hope you find more stitching time to work on HOHRH. What if you made it your work piece?
The cats are adorable-thanks for sharing the home runs....even the Yankees ones! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a huge piece though, no wonder you feel it's going slow. You probably get bunches done, it just stand out the same way as on another design.
ReplyDeleteThe kitties are just beautiful!
What adorable fluffballs... I can't wait to get a second cat once I move into the house. I hope my current cat feels the same way and they don't end up being problem children!
ReplyDeleteAww...Ava and Beau are so adorable. How could they cause any problems? :)
ReplyDeleteI just love the picture of your 'problem children' - they're so cute!!! And you may feel like HOHRH is going slow, but it is going!
ReplyDeleteGreat progress on this. You can definitely finish this up this year. Glad to know I am not the only one with problem cats...they do look innocent all snuggled up on the couch though.
ReplyDeleteOh my Carol, your slow progress is still twice as fast as my normal lol
ReplyDeletenice progress!
ReplyDeleteyour kitties are sooo cute!!
Carol, Don't lose sight of the main point...not to finish a piece, but to enjoy the process. We aren't in a race, but a stroll. When it's finished, the fun is over. I love your HOHR. It's just so muted and beautiful. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Deb
I think those of us stitching this one knows it is a slow stitch. I have resigned myself to that.
ReplyDeleteIt's looking great-and you are making steady progress!
Beau and Ava look so comfy and sweet, you'd never know they were the problem children lately. :)

I think you are moving along beautifully on HOHRH, Carol... I love your colours... It's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeau and Ava are precious... such angels sleeping so peacefully there... :-)
Awww... kitties, they are so cute!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll get this done this year!
