HOHRH Monday

I finished the mattress pincushion tonight - thank you, Karen, for the answer on the finishing! It was what I figured would be best to do, but didn't want to reinvent the wheel if there was some other way. I will show it once it is received by its recipient. I believe it came out quite well. After that, I worked diligently on HOHRH... I don't know if the white birds I did under the two houses tonight will show well or not, though.

I want to thank Judith for the birthday gift I received today. I was so surprised to receive a package from The Silver Needle today. I was wondering what I had ordered from them. Inside was Quakers Rule Accoutrements from my wish list - and a card from Judith! Aw, thanks, dear friend, I just love it!!

  16. The birds look like you can see them fine in the picture. However, I know from some of the pictures I've taken that seeing things in real life is sometimes more difficult. Hopefully when the whole square is done they stand out well enough for you. If not, maybe backstitching them in a pale gray or similar color would make them stand out just that little bit more. Looking forward to seeing your mattress cushion finishing.
