Autumn Quaker Exchange for Goldie

Yesterday, Goldie received the USEBB Autumn Quaker Exchange that I sent to her. I am glad she likes it. It was a treat to stitch for Goldie for this round! This is the first scissor pocket I have ever made, and I think it came out pretty well.. with special thanks to Cathy for sending me the little Velcro coins that I needed for it :-) Thank you, thank you!! You can see the rest of the goodies that I sent to Goldie in her blog.

Victoria's Quaker Scissor Pocket

A Mon Ami Pierre

Autumn Fields Belfast Linen and DMC 4130

And, speaking of Victoria's Quaker, here is this week's update.. moving along well, I think, and the new skein of OMG Red (which, I do think means Oh My God Red) matches fairly well... I used it for the lower case alphabet, what do you think? A little lighter, a little more of a berry color than the crimson, right?

Carol, you did a wonderful job with Goldie's Autumn Quaker exchange :) It's just so lovely :) Congratulations!!
I received my OMG red as well, but have not used it in my sampler yet. I hope it will match and if not, then a very subtle difference, I am hoping. I think yours looks great :)
Have a great Wednesday!!

I love your Quaker exchange. Its beautiful. I'm sure Goldie will appreciate all your hard work. Your Quaker Sampler is also looking good. The OMG red doesn't stand out that much. Won't be long before you finish. - Sandra.

All of your wips are looking fabulous Carol. LOL at the Red Sox clip, looks like an Irish dance of sorts. I don't think the OMG red looks too different, VQ looking lovely.

The scissor pocket for Goldie is beautiful - as ever :) I think the new OMG goes really well with the old OMG - it is a bit lighter, but it looks 'by design' rather than 'by accident'.

Your scissor case turned out lovely, and your Quaker Sampler is looking great too. The red does seem to work well, although as you say it appears a little lighter and redder than the other skeins you had. However, since are individual motifs it shouldn't present to much of a problem.
