I heard from Aniza this morning that she received my Specific Designer (Little House Needleworks) Exchange. I am happy to hear it arrived safely in Malaysia! I had/have low confidence with this one. I was so loving the stitching on this one, and then when it was time to put my mattress together, the fusible interfacing on the long side strip fell out 3/4 of the way around.. sigh... I had to use a soft side and I don't care much for that. Then I realized that using #8 perle cotton for the whipstitching was not a great idea - a bit bulky. But all of that aside, the last straw was that the pincushion has an area of bunching up at the seam at the bottom that I have never, never, never seen or have had happen before. I was beside myself! Aniza, however, tells me there are no worries! I am showing the photo she has in her blog - it is much better than the one I took before I mailed it off to her... it shows everything I sent her too.
And, I spent some TV/wind down time with my stitching for a little while tonight... back to Serenity. I figured I would work on that busy leaf border little by little rather than take it all on at once in the end... as you can see by today's photo.
I am thankful for all of my stitching friends :-)
Stitched on today: Started a gift, and Serenity

Your Little House exchange looks like it came out great. We tend to be our own worst critics. Serenity is coming along wonderfully. Happy Thanksgiving
I love the exchange. The pinkeep is really cute!
Your LHN pinkeep looks perfect to me.
What a gorgeous exchange :) So pretty! And I love the progress on Serenity - such lovely colours.
Hi Carol! Oh it's great to come for a visit to your blog now when I have time to read properly! I've been only peeping every now and then :) I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving and that you'll have good time with your niece!
The exchange is wonderful, a beautiful pinkeep!
What a cute exchange piece - it's lovely!
If you haven't used it before, I recommend #12 perle cotton for finishing ornaments - I use it almost exclusively
The exchange looks lovely! And the new project is coming along wonderfully!
Your LHN Exchange for Aniza looks great Carol! Like CJ said, sometimes we are our own worst critics!
Hope you have a fabulous day today!
Congratulations on the new start, it looks great and also on finishing Victoria's Quaker. So glad that Beau seems to be improving. {{{HUGS}}}
Bunchiness? Bulky seam? Good grief, woman, my eyes aren't that bad and I can't see a thing of these alleged defects! I was just discussing with Dianne how utterly fabulous your stitching and finishing are, and I'm not budging on that opinion!
The exchange is lovely Carol:)
Happy Day after Thanksgiving Carol. I have missed reading your blogs but am now unpacked and life is hopefully normal again.Congratulations on your finished Quaker. It is lovely. Your exchange is beautiful. I look forward to watching you stitch Serenity. I send you an email today with the folding directions for your Fortuneteller.
Hope your niece has fun with you for the weekend. Hope your kitty is doing better. Our pets are like children! Constant love from them!
