Addiction

It's just pure addiction... probably because I think I just needed to put my WIPS aside for a bit and just stitch something fun for myself while keeping up with my commitment stitching. I finally found one that is doing the trick for me ;-)

Ah, thank you to those of you who have let me know that I don't actually need a pricey Cricut machine to make floss drops... fantastic news. I did look for a punch today on my way home from work, but although I found tons of cute shapes, I did not find one that was not so very complicated that it would work for a floss drop... the search shall continue... yay, another thing to look forward to. But in not so great or fun news, my Ott-Lite bulbs arrived today and it appears that the ballast is the likely culprit here. Mike did research online, and this is a common issue. He is now busy being a DH and researching whether or not to try to get a new ballast or to treat me to a new lamp, and maybe it will be another brand. Either way, he will get me set back up again soon :-)

My little Anouk tonight... getting a good photo of her is like finding the Holy Grail... drippy face, squinty eyes, way too tiny nose, runt of her litter ... but she's such a little love :-)

I'm not really into fairies, but I like this on e- perhaps it's the colours? You're making great progress, I look forward to seeing the next installment!

It's a good thing Anouk can't read... :o))
Your Halloween Fairy is zipping along nicely. Eugh, nasty OTT lights. But what would we do without them? Not stitching comfortably, obviously.

I have been reading your blog for 2 years now and love all your projects, photos of your baby kitties, flowers and snow! I live in the deep south so no snow for me! Not sure what a floss drop is, but I do have access to a Cricut machine, maybe if you can explain it or send me a photo of one and I can try to get some done for you. Keep up the great Blog!

The Halloween Fairy is beautiful and you are making great progress! Bummer about the Ottlite - but I think they are not a well-made product.

Good luck with your OTT lite search ~ I couldn't stitch without mine now! Well unless its outside in the sunlight, but who can do that all day? I wish....

I heard the shape cutter with an oval template will make these great little floss drops. Do you have a Michael's that you can try?

Your wip is beautiful! Hope you get your lamp fixed soon, I would be going nuts, lol.
Can I ask where you got the colored metal clips used for your floss tags? I need to make myself one of those, lol.

I have to ask...what's a floss drop?

I love the colours in this design Carol. You are making great progress with it. Hope you can get something sorted about your light. I know what it's like to stitch without good light.

Aww, just look at little Anouk. She's such a cutie, drippy face and all :o)

The halloween fairy is gorgeous. Can you remind me which magazine she is from. I really need to track her down and stitch her myself. She looks a good one to do whilst 'recovering' next month :o)
