Getting her message across...

My Halloween Fairy has gotten her holiday message across now, hasn't she? I am up to parts right now that I have to work around while I wait for some more Kreinik braids to arrive that are on order... she is a highly addictive and enjoyable stitch! Too bad she is so hard to photograph indoors at night time. I will try to get an outdoor photo of her very soon to better show the Phantom belfast's true color...

Our house was either hit by lightning today or the ground nearby was. We heard this horrible crack and then a spark in the air in our finished basement where we were watching the Olympics (and for me, stitching)... the coffee grinder started up, but we couldn't find any damage. Mike is going to do a good outside check tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised to find some damage outside, but we did not look far in the pouring rain... I checked, all my cats are accounted for and well ;-)

Stitched on today: Started SBEBB Biscornu Exchange, and stitched on Halloween Fairy

Your fairy is coming along well! Just as well your cats didn't get spooked by the lightning. Hope your weather clears up soon

Oh, you're making me excited to get started on mine soon!! She's looking gorgeous.

I'm very glad that the lightning doesn't appear to have done immediate damage.. hopefully the outside of the house is fine, too. I do have to say, in a lighthearted spirit, that it all kind of fits the theme of your project, doesn't it? =) Lightning, phantom belfast, phantom coffee grinder, Halloween... had you stitched the word "trick" yet??? Hee!

Wow, she's looking great, you've made a lot of progress. Your earlier Colorful Witch finish was adorable, and I loved seeing all your framed pieces. They look so awesome all done and framed up, what fun to have them and be able to hang them now and enjoy them. Glad all the cats are fine and you haven't found any significant damage from the lightening.

She's beautiful Carol. My parents had a bad thunder and lightning storm the other day, so much so that Marion hid under the covers in bed until Mum took her downstairs to feel safe for the 3 hours it went on for.
Hope there's no damage to your house.
