I did not receive an ornament in a recent HoE Christmas Ornament Exchange. My partner apparently had a crisis in her family and dropped out of sight. Marie noticed this, and she angel stitched this super cute, super long and skinny santa for me... I laughed for a good five minutes when I saw it. I love it. Thank you so much Marie. As always, you sure did not have to do that :-)
Marie also is a very good friend, and she sent me the pretty little box for my bureau for my birthday. It is chock full of little stitching supplies like fabric, floss, beads and such. I just don't have any idea how she gets all of this done! Thank you so much Marie, what a treat.... someday you will remind when your birthday is....hint, hint
And, I recently heard that Kim received the biscornu thatI stitched for her for the HoE Biscornu Exchange... I did not have the supplies called for by Victoria Sampler (who ever does??), so I changed the colors to reflect the season of spring, the time of Mardi Gras (and matching the theme of the irises on the tuffet).
Jazz Tuffet Pincushion
Victoria Sampler
32 ct Antique Ivory Belfast Linen, Glissen Gloss Silk in Mardi Gras, RG Petite Treasure Braid, DMC Floss, Beads leftover from a JN sampler, and Swarovski Crystals from an HoE exchange
I have tons more to share... I am caught up on Once Upon A Time Sampler... errr, sort of. The August part just came out and I need to start that. I am also working away on A Year of Celebrations... I hope to get pics up soon....

Nice pieces. The angel one is really cute.
Ouch, Carol, can sympathise, I sprained mine last year and walked home.....a mile! Love the Santa, any idea of the designer?
The tall Santa that Marie stitched is so so sweet. I have never seen him before. Great birthday gift from Marie, too. And wow, such a lovely biscornu that you sent out in the exchange.
I hope your ankle is not causing you too much pain any longer.
Beautiful gifts from Marie. The box is stunning. I love your biscornu too. I am having a bit of a giveaway Carol and would love you to enter. xx
All very pretty! Take care!
Lovely post Carol - Beautiful stitching both sent & received :)
I hope your ankle heals quickly and doesn't cause you too much grief much longer!
Carol ... I do hope that ankle gets better soon.
Love the Santa ornament. Beautiful gift pieces from Marie.
What gorgeous pieces and funny little Santa from Marie. She's so caring! I don't know if you remember me, Carol. It's been a while since I was on the stitching scene. I've been writing a book review blog. But, now I'm back stitching...embarrassingly 5 yr. old WIPs!! I'll be stopping by again soon.

What lovely projects all of them, and the tall skinny santa is adorable, I can well see why you'd laugh when you saw him, he does make you smile. Hope your ankle is healing up well.

Gorgeous pieces from Marie and the biscornu is lovely.
Hope your ankle is better soon
I know the pain that you are in with that ankle, ugh! Hope that you recover fully by September.
It is always fun stitching for you!!! Glad that you liked what arrived in your mailbox, my dear friend. :-)
Love the biscornu that you stitched. If we lived a tad bit closer I would request a lesson from you. As you know I have never made one of these but hope to someday. Is there such thing as a Biscornu phobia?
I'm sorry you didn't get an ornament from your original exchange partner, but that Santa is awesome! I love him!
Very glad that you liked the ornament and box. :-)
Your biscornu is gorgeous...I need to learn to make those!
