A Wish for Andrea

I heard from Andrea today that she has received the mattress pincushion that I made for her on the Make a Wish BB. I am not entirely happy with the finishing on this one, and I just can't refrain myself from admitting that. I wish I had put 1-2 more layers of batting in it... and I have no idea why it puckered a little along the bottom edge of the front... all seemed to be going well with great tension... so very critical of myself! Must stop doing that!

....back to exchange stitching ;-)

Oh! I received a lovely Mattress Pincushion exchange from Jill today! Wait until you see! I could not get a good photo tonight - it was dark and rainy when I got in from work, but I will show you tomorrow ;-) Thank you Jill - I love it!

It looks perfect to me! I often wonder why these kinds of things happen. My biscornus always have some little pucker no matter how careful I am.

Carol, I absolutely love this mattress pincushion! The pattern and the finish are beautiful! After I made my patriotic scissor fob (my first), I also beat myself up about not putting enough batting in it. But I think it's fine and I think yours is perfect!

Wow! That's a beauty!! I haven't tried my hand at one of these yet, but I'll keep in mind about the layers of batting. Sooooo pretty!
