Ever notice, those of you who do not have children, that as you get older your family gets smaller? And more grown away from you? DH and I are very in the midst of that right now. It was lovely to see my mother today, walking so well and without need for her walker or cane as long as she had things to support her, like the kitchen counter, etc. She tires so easily, though. Her new prosthetics seem to be working well - a Christmas miracle, she is! The rest of my family... pretty much gone on their own now.
Anyhow... I heard from Marne that she received my CE return exchange yesterday - whew, just in time to hang on her tree!
Enjoy the rest of the holiday :-)
Stitched on today: Finished a Christmas ornament

Lord, yes. I don't have kids, never had 'em, don't regret it a bit, but jeez is the family ever getting small and decrepit (an interesting problem when there are no new "replacement" members. AND we're all weird--or call us eccentric. I couldn't get home fast enough from our tiny family gathering to relax and pick up my needle tonight. Merry Christmas, Carol!
Just stopping by to send you wishes for a lovely holiday season, Carol! :)
I'm so glad that your mom is doing so well and was able to spend the day with you. My mom was, thank heavens, invited over to the home of some friends (otherwise she'd have been alone).
Wishing you all the best!!
Glad that your mom is doing so well Carol, that's wonderful news :)
Beautiful ornie Carol. Best wishes. xx
Feliz Navidad Carol
Glad your Mom is well, my family doesn't fit the Christmas stereotype either!
Cute ornament Carol, congratulations
Merry Christmas
So glad to hear your mom is doing well:) and I LOVE your reindeer ornie finish!!
Happy Holidays!
Congratulations on another finish. Your reindeer is cute.
That reindeer is just lovely.
I'm glad to hear your mom is doing so well!
I only have one child, so it's mostly the three of us, that's when he is home for holiday, etc.
What's the expression-make the best of what you have. I like to donate gifts to needy people on Christmas and give to charities. Maybe I'll get into a little volunteer work again.
