Graduation Time, and Goals Review

Mike and I went to our niece Caitlin's high school graduation tonight - the first of the flock to graduate, and now we feel rather old!! She looked gorgeous (which is easy, because she really is a beautiful girl) - her posture was perfect crossing the stage, as the Class Valedictorian mispronounced her last name... she was loving and cuddly all night, introduced me to two lovely young men that are her friends now... both so bright and intelligent... my Caitlin is growing up and going to college in the fall now - gulp!! We forgot our camera, but my SIL did promise to email us some photos asap!!

We got in around midnight, but I did find time to stitch a bit on Barbara's Neighborhood RR. I needed time with a needle - and needed to decompress from a minor altercation with my sister at the party. Events like this remind me how poor my relationships are with my siblings. I am doing well with my brother, actually - he is just tense around his in laws.... but my sister... a whole other story. We have some stuff to resolve, and the therapist in me feels compelled to put closure on this now... sigh.

So, here is how Barbara's RR looks - the little sheep got noses tonight :-) You will see a lot more of this in the coming days, as it is due to be posted to Annemarie on or before June 15th. Barbara, I am not trying to tease you - if you want to know what chart this is from, I will happily tell you :-)

Oh my - this magazine gets better and better every month!!

And.. finally... Mike posted off the Scissor Fob Exchange project on the FGBB for me today. I do hope the stitcher who receives it will enjoy it! I had such fun making it!

Your work is beautiful. I took a scroll down a bit, recognized some of the work, so I must have been on here before. =) Love the lady in the post under this, too.

Well done to Caitlin. How quickly they grow up.

Yor stitching and gifts to you and by you are all just fabulous. I think you are just so talented and generous.

Hope you resolve things with your sis soon, dear Carol.
I know what you're stitching for Barbara, and I love it!!! I actually wanted to stitch this one for MY new Neighbourhood, but in the end decided it was too big for that one :o) I love the miserable-looking donkey in this chart, too!

Oh, I don't feel teased at all. I enjoy watching it come together and trying to jump start my ol' gray cells into activity. I love it so far!

Congratulations on your niece's graduation. How thrilling! My niece recently had her second child. (There is a big age difference between her mother and myself btw.)

Sorry about your sibling issues. I think many of us have unresolved issues with our adult siblings. I hope you'll be able to clear the air, at least to some degree.

The sheep are looking very cute, and you did wonderful on your May goals. I just downloaded the new issue of the magazine, but haven't had a chance to read it yet. So far I've loved every issue, I'm so glad that I saw your LD sampler from it and decided to subscribe.

Oh my, I cannot believe how much stitching you get done in a month. Everything you do is beautiful - such talent.
I agree about The Gift of Stitching - wonderful things to stitch.
On the RR, I noticed the cat on the tree next to your stitching. It made me laugh! So cute. And your sheep are looking very good.

Congratulations to Caitlin! :)

I had exactly the same thoughts about the new GoS magazine - it has such great projects this month! The Sampler Cove chart was a lovely surprise for me though because I hadn't heard it was coming!

Oh my gosh, you are so right about this month's issue. I wish I had time to fit in a couple of the projects! :)

You know, on a side note, I'm sorry to hear about your altercation with your sister, but I am glad to know that even therapists have family issues. Makes me feel a little bit more normal! ;)
