More Serenity
I picked up Serenity again this evening after Nicole went back home... tried to watch the NASCAR race while stitching, but rain in California kept interrupting it. They might restart the race at midnight, but I will be off to bed by then :-) Anyhow... I was again tempted to work on fun inner motifs. Next time I pick this up, I really should work on the border again. I really would prefer not to have too much of the busy border to do at the very end ;-)
Stitched on today: Stitched on the biscornu (for Laura's exchange group), and Serenity

The colours are so pretty in this one, no wonder you want to work on inner motifs :) It's going to be beautiful!
Does the border go all the way around? That would definitely spoil my fun in stitching this design, although, of course, the border looks fabulous, as does the entire sampler.
Serenity is looking gorgeous, nice progress
It's beautiful Carol! The border all the way around...wow...that will be a lot of fussy stitching...good luck!
Looking fantastic Carol. I can't blame you for wanting to work on the interior. I always have to ration myself when I have pieces like that. It is like only allowing desert when you have finished your dinner:)
I love the colors in this piece Carol. It looks beautiful.
It's coming along so beautifully. Gorgeous piece :-). I don't blame you on the border. If you leave them to the end they can end up being a bit tedious.
I'd forgotten about this one. Looks good
Love the colors in this. Doing the inner motifs would be what I'd want to work on as well. I like the look of borders, but really don't enjoy doing them. Doing them as you go really does seem to help though, that way there is not so much left at the end (less likelyhood to drift into a WIP/UFO pile), at least for me. You always seem to finish up your projects so beautifully, somehow I can't picture one of your projects ending up that way due to a border.
Sue
that is coming along very nicely....love the colors.
Hi Carol, The sampler is looking fantastic. I agree having just the broder to do at the end can really make the project drawn out.
Serenity is such a lovely design, Carol, it's no wonder you've spent more time on it lately. :)
This is coming along so nicely! It will be such a lovely piece when it's finished.
This is very beautiful design!
I have never seen it before.
The colours are so beautiful, and I love your Quaker Christmas, too!
It's gorgeous!
Great finish on that motif. Love how this is looking!
