Down to a bit of backstitching now

All righty then! (try to channel Jim Carrey to read that right!). I am now down to just a bit of backstitching left on Part 6 of Medieval Town Mandala. Wow, these past two months have been huge portions, and I would suspect the next three will be same! I cannot agree more with Karen and her feelings about this project. I may end up falling behind at some point too. I have been thinking about this quite a bit, as she apparently also has... So far, I am OK, but if I get a huge urge to stitch something else during any month, I don't plan to restrict myself just because there is still more MTM to do.... this is hard for me and my compulsive personality, but keeping up with two large Chatelaines is quite the task. I am not complaining, just being realistic here :-)

Mike and I went to Boston for a while today - Mike really, really has been wanting to go. We ended up at Faneuil Hall and ate lunch at Dick's Last Resort - which reminded me so much of when Karen andher husband, Bren, came to visit us last June... we also went to Faneuil Hall and ate at one of the Dick's Last Resort locations with them too.... we had such a fun day with them!

Stitched on today: Medieval Town Mandala - and I hope to finish Part 6 while I watch NASCAR tomorrow!

Wow Carol, this is so beautiful! Congratulations on getting it almost done. I love the stained glass windows :)
I understand how you must be feeling though. You are such a rotationist in spirit (not at all like me! LOL! Although I LOVE looking at your rotation!); and it must be frustrating not to get to pick up as many projects as you'd like over the month. If your wonderful stitching is not fun and fulfilling anymore... Well... You certainly need to do something about it.

I hope you enjoy your Sunday and NASCAR! :)

Wow, you've motored through that last part of MTM majorly fast! It's amazing how much of your stitching time it's taken up, though - and you're a really fast stitcher ... there's so much to stitch in those buildings, it's no wonder you feel like taking a break at some stage. It'll be worth it in the end, though, when you feast your eyes on that finished product :D Sounds like you had a lovely day out in Boston :D

I also find it some very big parts Carol, I can't understand why she didn;t make some of the earlier parts a bit bigger and these less big.
Yours is going to look gorgeous.

I am SO impressed that you've kept up with this massive Chatelaine. It's gorgeous!!

Faneuil Hall? Wow, that brings back such memories. I used to live within walking distance (though a longish walk) and really enjoyed going out for lunch there with my friend Sara.

Have a super Sunday!

A day in Boston lucky you! It's been a while since we went I've got to get up there again soon. It sounds like you guys had a nice time. We've never been to Dick's Last Resort. We usually end up at Cheers for lunch.

With the car race on today I know you'll have the back stitching done in no time and be on to something else.

Carol, you've been amazing to keep up with the demands of this design. What an awesome piece tho. I'm sure stitching on something completely different for awhile will recharge your batteries to continue with MTM.
Enjoy your race and stitching today!

Oh Carol, MTM is looking fabulous!! I wish I could get enthused about mine again *sigh*. I can't quite figure out why I've lost interest but I'm sure it'll come back eventually :)
