I don't know if any of you would be interested in this, but I have started up a blog called "Freebie Gallery," which I plan to use to post photos of stitched freebies. I am often wondering how a certain freebie chart would look stitched up, so I end up surfing online. Sometimes I can find a photo, but often I cannot. There used to be a nice website up that had a freebie gallery. It is still there, actually, but is no longer being updated. So, I made a blog. If anyone at all wants to contribute to it, please just drop me an email (hit the white envelope at the bottom of this entry to email me) and I will add you as a blog contributer. I put a couple of my finishes in there to start it up, and will continue to add to that. I thought it might be a nice resource - even if only I use it - LOL. Here is the
Freebie Gallery Blog link.
Although the houseguests are still here, and it is a bit hectic, and I owe a ton and half of important email responses, I did manage to get back to my rotation for a bit tonight. It was nice to spend a little time again with And A Forest Grew!
My dear friend Karen has opened up the birthday parcel that I sent to her :-) Amongst several other non-stitching goodies, I sent her:

Great idea Carol. Please add me as a contributor!
Yep, I'm definitely in! I'll e-mail later today.
Fantasic gifts you made for Karen. Wow! Especially the tin topper. You're really finding new ways to finish your exquisite stitching, aren't you :o)
I've stitched a handful of freebies and would be happy to share them, if they're good enough...LOL!
Too cute about your kitties and the heating pad. My parents' Siamese, Ethan (RIP), was a "cold kitty" in his later days, but turned his nose up at the heating pad. He preferred the spot in front of the fridge. :-)
Nice, gifts, nice stash, nice WIP....lol. Seriosly though, I really like your new stash. AMAP do give really nice freebies, don't they?
I've been enjoying watching your progress on AAFG so much, I've ordered the chart...so it's your fault! ROTFL
Fantastic idea, Carol. I don't have anything at the moment to contribute, but I will. I can't wait to visit your site, though. On another subject...if I weren't horribly allergic (asthma) to cats, I'd come up there and lounge with you and stitch amongst all that new stash and the little smallies that you work on all the time!! They are just gorgeous little gems and I know they're always "cookin'." :)) Hugs, Deb
Great stash! The freebie blog is a good idea too - I used to contribute a lot to Linda's freebie gallery and was sad when she stopped updating it. The blog format means that you won't have to do all the work yourself, which sounds like a better idea.
AAFG is growing nicely!
A Great idea, I will definitely pay a visit. Absolutely love your gifts you made esp that tin!!! And that stash purchase is wonderful. Love the Ackworth sampler.
Totally excellent stash haul, Carol! I approve! :D
The freebie gallery is a great initiative. I tried to submit to one a few times - probably the same one you mentioned - but no one ever responded and I assume they were no longer updating it. There are so many cool freebies out there that you only see by accident....
That picture of your furballs is too funny!
Good grief, it's a brainless day. I forgot to mention how excellent your gifts are. The Daffodil Run biscornu is especially wonderful, IMHO, because I just love running hares!
Your freebie gallery blog is a great idea.
Your tin topper and is lovely as always- you are so imagnative and creative.
Oh wow Carol - lovely finishes and I like your stash ahaul.
I've emailed you too as I would love to contribute.
I think that's a wonderful idea and I would love to contribute what I can!! I'll start rummaging...
Your gifts for Karen are amazing, that tin would have to be my favourite... exquisite!!
Enjoy your new stash!! Your girls looks thoroughly pampered, spoilt and VERY happy... :o)

I love your Biscornu and the tin topper. I emailed you about adding as a contributor on your freebie blog, hope my email came through.
I love your tin topper - it's a lovely finish.
LOL at the kitties on the heating pad :)

And that is a wonderful stitchy haul....I want to get some A Mon Ami Pierre patterns myself...I really love them! But I don't know where to purchase other than at her website.
Had a chuckle about the photo of your girls, they certainly know where to lie don't they. Great idea about the freebie blog, and a great stash haul. AAFG is looking wonderful
Joanne
And a forest grew is looking wonderful! It looks like you got some great items for your stash. I love how you finish your items!
Carol, both gifts are lovely. Congratulations!
AAFG is looking great!
The Freebie blog is a good idea. I know I have a few stitched I can post. It's always nice to see how they looked stitched up and the different fibers/fabrics used to stitch them.
The freebie gallery is a wonderful idea!!! I'd love to be a contributor :)
And a Forest Grow looks great and the biscornus are lovely!
Your gifts for Karen are gorgeous as usual Carol. Sounds like you had a wonderful time at Celebrations
Karen is a lucky person - gorgeous gifts. And your cats are sweeties - mine don't leave a warm spot if they don't have too either!
A Freebie Gallery would be great!

Karen is a lucky lady-her gifts are just gorgeous. Great stash haul too, I love the Bright Needle, they are one of my fave. designers.
Very pretty gifts for Karen.
Your cats look so content in the piccie Carol. So cute!
I love the idea of the Freebie Gallery blog - hurrah! I like to see them stitched up too. Glad you're getting back into the swing of things with your rotation. AAFG is looking beautiful. I love the gifts you made - they are all wonderful!
The Freebie Gallery is a GREAT idea. I just got back into stitching after a long time away, and am just discovering all the great stitching blogs.
Everyone keeps posting finishes, and states that the design was a freebie. But they never say how they got the freebie! I've noticed that a few of the posts on your new blog contain links, but a lot of them don't.
Where are you all finding these projects? I'd love to make some of them!
Carol another great gift!!!!
I have been stitching a lot of freebies! Please add me...I couldn't find an e-mail address.
That is such a great idea!
What beautiful gifts you stitched!
OMG!!! How beautiful is that Just Nan Biscornu, Carol!!! Absolutely gorgeous! And I love the Apple Harvest tin topper as well! Just beautiful! I know Karen must be over the moon! Your stitching and finishing continues to amaze me, Sweetie!!! :-)
And A Forest Grew is coming along beautifully... I finally broke down and told Drema to add it to my next order for the end of the month... that one and Inspiration! lol Who knows when I'll get to them as my *to stitch* list is already a mile long! ;-)
I'll send you an email about the Freebie Blog as I'd love to contribute... it's such a wonderful idea! :-)
And your kitties are so adorable... I've had the heating pad on my back for several days now, and my Shelley cuddles up behind me so she can enjoy the heat as well! :-)
{{{Hugs}}} Sweetie...
Your gifties for Karen are awesome! (Just realised I hadn't commented ... I'm a slack tart these days!!)
The freebie blog is a great idea!
Those girls of yours are very cute!
