A little Bordeaux

I surely wouldn't call tonight's progress on Bordeaux Sampler monumentuous, but since this is my own personal stitching journal, I will still put in a photo of tonight's work. I am hoping that I will soon be finally through Part 4. Part 4 is the center of the sampler, and I consider it to be the hump. I almost didn't pick it up tonight due to a severe headache, but I really do want to stick to my schedule with it.
I forgot I had this photo sitting on my desktop. This is Gig (blonde) and Anouk (grey and white) on Sunday morning - catching some fresh air in the window, as a little snow from Saturday night was melting away.... signs of spring in New England! (And, Gig and Anouk are rarely seen here, so I figured I would share them too - someone asked how many cats I have? 6, all persians).

Someone mentioned in my blog comments today... Andrea, I think?... that animals often get white spots in their fur at the site of an injury. You are right - I think! I noticed the greying/white spot pattern on Angus is around his neck (where he wore that Elizabethan collar for so long, and his underside/butt where he was shaved and surgery was performed) - well done you - I believe you solved it for me! Thank you!

Stitched on today: Stitched a gift (start to finish), and Bordeaux Sampler

Carol your Bordeaux sampler is really coming along nicely!! Very pretty! I too woke up today with a headache! We have really high pollen right now, grass and oak tree and of course I am really allergic. My dogs are having trouble too with allergies. We have found a new vet and he sounds like he is really good and caring, not like the one that is so money oriented. This one is an excellent surgeon too, so I am glad of that too. Your kitties are really pretty! They look very happy and content! Hope you feel much better very soon!! Debby :)

Cute picture of the kitties, Carol. Blonde persians are so unique.

I love cats but Persian cats are the cutest...they get all their fur nice & fluffy when dry but when they are wet...that is one drenched cat with their funny looks.

Any wet cat photos to share? Before and after of all the 6 cats.

Gig and Anouk look like they are really enjoying the weather. It is warmer here now too, and mine are having fun sitting in windows and getting a bit of fresh air also after the long winter. Bordeaux continues to look lovely. You said this is now about half way, I hadn't realized how large it would be when finished.

Your BS is looking fabulous as always :) How big is it? It looks like it is huge from the pictures?!

Your little fur babies are sweeties :)

I just love your kitties! I've been reading your blog for almost a year and I didn't realize that you had 6 persians! I've always had persians and hymmies and whenever I see pictures of yours, I miss my last kitty Bailey the hymmie so much. I'm thinking it's finally time to bring another kitty into my life. :-)

Your cats are gorgeous. I would LOVE to have six cats. LOL! My allergies seem to be worse than usual this year, though, so I guess I'll have to make myself six cross-stitched kitties...

I love that sampler more and more every time I see it! Your kitties are so adorable - all puffy and annoyed-looking :)

Wow, 6 Persians...that's a lot of kitty hair! My eyes are watering and my nose is stuffing up just thinking about it...LOL. Gotta love allergies.

I like Anouk's little white moustache....makes me think of Sam Elliot's character in "Tombstone". :-)

Gig & Anouk look very content! I didn't know about the fur changes at the injury sites.
