Mike and I were off running errands today, when my cellphone rang. It was the framer - my four projects were ready to be picked up! They had told me it would be a while, and certainly
not before Christmas. We were in Office Max at the time. The funny thing was, our very next stop was going to be to the framer's anyhow! Today was the last day of their sale, and we had Celtic Band Sampler, The Marriage of Minds and Garden Bounty with us to be framed! (I did drop those off, and I hope the frames I picked out will be pretty for them....). Meanwhile, I am over the moon with how the other four came out! We took the photos of them leaning against the wall - we have to figure out where to hang them now. May I present to you:

I managed to finish Part 7/8 of Mermaid Heaven, except for the metallic gold backstitching of the scales on her tail. I will definitely be adding all of the gold metallic last. It looks like the next page, Part 3/8, will be a very, very busy page!
Mike spotted this visitor on our deck this morning and took a photo - this is one huge blue jay!
I got in some stash today, but am too tired to take a photo... will do it tomorrow :-)

Merry Christmas Carol!
It's Christmas Eve and I am taking a break from putting my son's toys together. Argh! Do Not Believe SOME Assembly required. After opening the package it says to get a qualified mechanic to put together! Needless to say this will be a Happy New Year gift. Sorry OT! Your work is beautiful and the framing is perfect! You must be so happy! And that is some bluejay. Are there any missing cats in the neighborhood? lol Have a wonderful holiday!
Carol your stitching is beautiful. The frames you chose are exquisite. You stitch such large projects and so quickly. I'm very jealous of your Petal Fairy. I have wanted to do this piece since it came out.I have joined your group with hopes of completing this piece this year. I would like to know your secret.:)
Merry Christmas

Carol, these are incredible projects. You must be so proud of them!! The Petal Fairy is a favorite design of mine, but that Solo for Fairy Flora is one of the prettiest pieces of fabric I think I've ever seen - it's an inspired choice for the beautiful fairy!
I hope you are enjoying a wonderful day and that Santa left all kinds of goodies in your stocking!
The framing come out perfect! With the bonus of being done early pust have been just as fun as if you'd recieved them as a christmas present.
That is some huge bluejay, never seen one that big, what do you feed your feathered friends?
Happy Christmas and a wonderful new year. May you get as much stash, as you could want. Hugs!
Happy Christmas Carol. I've been catching up with your blog, my, what an array of beautiful framed pieces you have to hang. And more to come too. You are truly one talented little stitcher.
Talked with Katrina last night, and loved what she sent you too. She's a clever girl too.
Merry Christmas Carol! Your pieces came out beautifuly!!! I'm sorry I've not been working on Mermaid Heaven. I will be picking it up again soon and I'll post a picture to let you know how far along I am. I hope you and Mike (and your families) have a wonderful day.
The framed works are beautiful, Carol. Christmas is going away here, but I can wish Merry Christmas again.
