A Get Well Gift and a Seaside Neighborhood

Mike and I are still both really struggling with this virus... thank you for all the emails wishing us well! It is good that tomorrow is a holiday - another day to rest before facing work again!

I started a get well gift for someone yesterday and managed to finish it today - I can show it now, because she does not read my blog - the photo fails to show that the linen I used on the bottom of this biscornu is olive green, while the top is natural... I will try to get a better photo showing that before I pack it up to send it away....
Thanks A Bunch! Biscornu

Just Nan

Natural Belfast Linen (top)/Olive Green Belfast Linen (bottom)
DMC floss

Stitched 2/17/07 - 2/18/07

Then, I started Rachael's Neighborhood Round Robin... this one is a seaside neighborhood. I decided to start with the lighthouse and keeper's house from Liz Turner Diehl's Light House Summer Garden. I hope it looks like it is set back as it is quite smaller than I thought it would be, and looks miniscule next to the house to its left. I will do a lot of landscaping to this - including at least one beeskep, per Rachaels' request - but I have a funny feeling I will be asking you, my dear blogging pals, for some fill in suggestions as this progresses along!

Stitched on today: Thanks A Bunch! Biscornu, and Rachael's Neighborhood RR

Your biscornu is magnificent! As for your progress on the RR, I gues the ligthhouse will be like far away on the shore, no? That's why he's so tiny...Ann.

Wow, what a gorgeous biscornu. "Rich" is what comes to mind on seeing it.

Nice start on Rachel's RR :)

I'm sorry you and Mike are still feeling so poorly - I caught a cold in Lille and just had an awful night, but that's certainly nothing in comparison! ((((hugs))))

What a lovely biscornu! It is a perfect piece for a gift!

Great start on Rachael's RR. I think it will look neat with a variety of perspectives so it doesn't look like all the buildings are on top of each other.

Glad to hear you are on the mend. These colds and flus have been miserable this year!

What a gorgeous Biscornu! I think the neighborhood RR's you're all stitching are great! I would love to have done one but I don't have the imagination to make a square up from scratch lol.

Unfortunately I just can't catch up on ALL the posts I've missed over the last couple of weeks so I hope Angus is doing ok. I'm sending you and Mike some (((((GET WELL SOON))))) hugs too!

Your biscornu turned out lovely, I'm sure she'll be thrilled to receive it. Your RR looks like it will be fun to work on as well, looking forward to when you get to the beeskeep.

Hope you both start feeling better soon, with having an extra day off to rest I'll keep my fingers crossed that helps even more.

Beautiful biscornu! I spotted it as a Just Nan right away. LOL. You did a nice, subtle contrast with the bottom fabric. Great start to the seaside neighborhood, too. I can't wait to see it when you're done.
