I did manage to snap a photo of the little Thanks A Bunch! biscornu that I finished up yesterday - now you can see that the top is stitched on Natural Belfast linen, while I used Olive Green Belfast linen for the bottom - it matches the DMC 522 in the daisy leaves almost perfectly. I cannot take any credit for this idea - I pinched it from Karen V's blog a few days ago, and I think she said she also pinched the wonderful idea of using two colors of linen from another blog as well.... so, I don't know who to thank - will choose to thank Karen V for passing the idea along :-) Thanks Karen! Now the wee biscornu is packaged up and ready to be shipped to someone in need of support and cheer - I hope this helps her a tiny bit!
Here is my little Lily - she has been sleeping at Mike's end of the sofa (aka "the lounge" for my Aussie and Kiwi pals) most of the day.... I wonder if she is ailing too? She is totally unimpressed with the wet food diet we have out because of Angus, so Mike keeps sneaking her dry food - oh, what to do?!! Sigh. Oh, Angus appears to be quite well. He will have another blood test soon to check on his kidney function. He is a real begger for table food lately - if you go near the stove, he vocalizes his desire for... eggs :-) He wants scrambled eggs! Funny cat :-)
Stitched on today: Started yet another gift, Rachael's Neighborhood Round Robin (will show more progress soon) and Houses of Hawk Run Hollow

Glad you're feeling better. My husband is very sick with some sort of flu virus now too. He hasn't been this sick in a long time.
Cool stitchings lately. Love the pretty red fob. The two tone biscornu idea came from Tessa. I plan on copying that too. :)
I'll be starting the villages soon too.
Glad to hear that you are feeling better :) I hopw you and hubby continue to improve :)
Lovely biscornu too!
Hugs hugs hugs :)
Carol...
here's my very best hopes that the worst of this is behind you and that both you and Mike feel 100% very, very soon. I absolutely love the picture of Lily...she is gorgeous!
Blessings,
Julie
Good to hear you are feeling better. Your Thanks A Bunch biscornu is beautiful!
Congratulations on your progress and wishing you full recovery. Ann.
Lily is a beautiful cat. All your cats are, but I really like her coloring. And Angus eats eggs? Our Spin won't touch them. He prefers the matured version ... i.e. birdies. :(
Your biscornu is wonderful - I'm going to have to try this, too. But not today - school vacation. Sigh. Great to have the kiddies around, but not much chance for stitching.
Forgot to add that I do hope Mike will soon be better - and yourself, too!!
Lily looks so sweet, as always! She's my favourite :)
Your biscornu is gorgeous - the finishing looks perfect!
I'm glad you are feeling better - hope you'll feel 100% today!
Glad you are feeling better. Viruses are the worst, hope your DH does better soon. Love all the stitching pictures, your HoHRH is coming along nicely!
I think the bi-colored biscornu came from Tessa....but no matter cause I'm pinching it too :)
Yours is absolutely lovely and I mean that ;)
Your houses are really coming along aren't they...Heck it won't be long it seems and you'll be done...I know I say this everyday...but really and truly you amaze me....honestly and I'm not blowing hot air!!!!
I hope you all are feeling better today...if it makes you feel any better?! the influenza is hitting late this year...could it be possible you and Mike have it? I got the first positive tests of the season this weekend at work...so if it's in the midwest then it's here and making its debut :(
Sorry to hear both you and your DH have been ill. Hope you're feeling better today.
Your biscornu is gorgeous. I never thought of using those JN designs for them! I will have to do some rooting in my freebies files!
Hope you continue to feel better. I believe Tessa got the 2-toned biscornu idea from me (http://tessaceleste.blogspot.com/2006/07/oops-forgot-to-post-this-piccie.html), and who knows where I saw the idea - I suspect some clever French lady!
I'm glad to hear your feeling better. I hope Mike's trip to the DR will help clear up what he's got.
Your house looks great. I like this one a lot for some reason. Can't wait to see the finished square.
Lily's very cute.
Poor things! I am glad to hear you are feeling a bit better though. When I saw Karen's biscornu she used the red linen on, I thought that was a great idea too. The olive looks fabulous with the stitching...good choice! HOHRH is moving right along too!
Oh, get 100% better soon! Mike too! What a pretty little biscornu.
Glad to hear you are feeling better! Your little kitty, Lily is sooooooooo cute!! Also glad to hear that Angus is doing well too. I have to have a blood test done on Blossom for thyroid so they will give me a new prescription Your stitching is really nice. I got to get those trees done on mine! Debby :)
HOHRH looks great Carol! Love your biscornu. Funny thing, I decided to start one last night to practice and the olive green linen you used is what I'm stitching it on. Glad to hear your feeling better, hope Mike is soon as well.
I hope you feel back to normal soon. I love that biscornu! You come up with the most beautiful things.
I'm glad you're on the mend - being ill is the pits.
Nice stitching! The biscornu is lovely (I love making them - it's like magic how they come together :) ) and HOHRH is coming along very nicely!
My kitty Claude likes eggs too, but he prefers them raw.
I'm glad you a feeling a little better - I know what you mean about not being able to concentrate on the stitching.
Your biscornu is gorgeous!
Glad you are feeling better. The biscornu is lovely. Great stitching!
It is good to hear that you're feeling better, Carol!
Your biscornu is breathtaking! It's certain to cheer your friend. :D
Glad you're feeling better. That's so funny about Angus wanting eggs - all my cat ever wants is tuna, tuna, tuna. Other than that, she doesn't like any people food.
Funny kitties - so soft and fluffy looking, too. I'm glad that you are starting to feel better and I hope that you kick it completely soon. Poor Mike! I hope that the doctor has some answers for him to help him feel better soon.
