An end to spring like temps :-(

I figured I really should be working on Mermaid Heaven today, but decided instead to put some more time in on Celtic Winter. I can sense this one is close to finishing now, and I would love to free up more space in my rotation. I stitched a lot of grey today. I found out that you really need one full skein of DMC 169 to stitch Celtic Winter on 28 ct. I have a piece about four inches long left and it is only one ply. I am super conservative with my floss, and still only this tad bit left. I may have missed some of the "S" symbols and may end up needing to break into a second skein. Just some info if you are also stitching this project.

While out running errands today, Mike bought me a new stitching magazine :-) This one looks pretty good. There are actually a couple of appealing projects in this issue... whether or not I will stitch them, I don't know... but fun, nonetheless.

Well, tonight the spring like temps are tumbling and snow is forecasted for Monday... and cold temps for the upcoming week. We all know this is because Mike took his Corvette out of storage. My guess is that it will go back into storage tomorrow!!
Can you see my face?? When I went upstairs tonight to try to take a better photo of Celtic Winter, I noticed our black persian, Angus, was sleeping in one of the recliners in our living room. It is pretty tough to find his face, isn't it?? (Yep, we are those sorry type of folks who put sheets and throws over our good furniture when there is no company here! Heck, two of our cats - Angus and Ava - love to destroy furniture with their claws - sigh)...

Oohhh It looks like you'll have your first HD of the year by the end of the week.

I think I found Angus's face. It's to the left of his out-streatched paw. Right? :)

Wow, I can't believe how far you are on CW. It is beautiful. You are right about the floss though, I need to go get some extra too.

Angus is so adorable!! You are not the only one with throws on the furniture. We made the mistake of buying cream colored couches that our BLACK cat loves to sleep on.

You're getting close on Celtic Winter, and she is coming out so lovely. :)

Oh wow, you're sooooo close to a happy dance with CW - she looks beautiful :) Angus is a crack-up too ... it never ceases to amaze me what positions cats manage to get themselves into, or where they manage to cram themselves into! Too cute :) That XS mag looks OK too - nice change from Xmas charts ... I hate this time of year, when we get all the magazines so much later, and I'm 'over' Xmas already and just want to see some new stuff :/

Ooooh, more lovely progress pics!!

My hubby said we had to consider the shedding/cat hair issue when my little tri-color passed away last year.....now our cat is gray. hehehe (of course, her hiar is STILL quite evident in many places....but at least it is all the same color!)

I love your CW with the sparkly fabric. She is a beauty! I am using that for 'Giggles in the Snow'. It gives the designs nice dimension.
Your cats are so sweet. Mine won't get on any electrical gadgets as he has a bed and two window perches in the sun (when it is sunny that is).
