New Car Day!!

And here it is.... Mike's new 2005 Chevrolet Corvette. We drove three hours out to Bennington, Vermont to get this car... but it has every little special touch and option that he wanted, so glad he is happy... And, a sad little goodbye to his yellow Corvette....
Bennington has just introduced these cool moose statues that are similar to Cows on Parade in NYC and Chicago (I think it is Chicago...). This one was outside the car dealership, and these other two were on a main street in town - I am told there are 57 of them in Bennington right now - I think they are cool - we were able to get out of the way in traffic to get these two:
No time yet to stitch today, though I did start crocheting a doily in the car on the way to Vermont... will probably post a picture of that soon.... hope to stitch later tonight!(There we go, got a chance to work on Petal Fairy tonight...)

Here are two of the many iris pictures I took yesterday too - the first is Joyance, an old historic iris , and the other is truly huge and I have to research its name
Stitched on today: Petal Fairy

Hi Carol, looks like you and Mike had a great day in Bennington! :o)

And yeah, that was Petal Fairy night for you again! So, so pretty... I stitched on her yesterday evening too :-) I did the lighter flesh color (948) on her arms. I finally chose the mint green, I was afraid maybe the pink hues wouldn't come out as well on the Peach fabric... ;o) I'm sure I'll find a perfect use for Cameo Peach though! The mint green is so fresh and I love love love stitching on evenweave! Much easier than I thought. (but I've just started... so finger crossed that I won't make any mistake in counting!)

Have a nice Sunday :o)

Congratulations on your new car! Your Petal Fairy is looking beautiful, I love seeing your WIP pics of her. In your last entry you said you like the flower Fairies - would you like me to send you the charts of the ones I've done? They're a bit scruffy, but I couldn't bring myself to throw them away! Let me know.
