Focusing on Celtic Winter

I have decided to focus on Celtic Winter for a while now, as it is nearing its completion. It would be nice to finally have a finish :-) However, I will still work on Garden Spot Sampler on Tuesday, since that is a SAL. I did indeed find two "s" symbols down amongst the gold swirls that I had missed. So, I had to pull out that last tiny length of DMC 169 and use it! However, DMC 168 proved to be an even closer call. I exhausted my skein of 168 with about 25 stitches left to go. Fortunately, I recently stocked up on skeins of some of DMC's newer colors (not terribly new, but the newest they have) at a recent floss sale... and 168 was one of them, so I was saved from having to do any serious mining through my stash tonight! Yay!
I guess that Lily felt that our family room was a little too cool for her liking tonight (the cold air has found its way back into New England today)... and apparently the cable box/DVR is a warm spot to rest for a while :-)

Stitched on today: Celtic Winter

CW is looking great! Look forward to seeing your finish.
I found the same with 168 & 169. I'm onto the second skein with both already and am still working on the lady - none of the border is done yet, I must be much more wasteful with thread than you are!

Isn't it a great feeling when you get to this stage of a project? So, so close to the finish line :))

You are such a fast stitcher! It feels like you just started CW, although I know you've been working on it for a while. It looks beautiful. I love the sparkly fabric.

I can "sense" a happy dance for you on CW very soon and thanks for the heads about the 168 and 169, I'm going to pick up an extra skein of each of them today as CW is my focus project for this week and I'd hate to run out too!

Your kitties are so gorgeous Carol, they must give you and Mike so much pleasure with all funny places they put themselves to sleep :)
